Kate Warwick-Smith: Court cards in a reading--Who:

Supports? Detracts? Provides resources? Challenges?

Swords-Discovery  Days for timing,  Winter for season.

Cups-Thoughts on discovery.  Weeks for timing,  Spring for season.

Wands-Action on discovery.  Months for timing,  Summer for season.

Coins-Results of discovery.  Years for timing,  Autumn for season.

Elemental Dignity Rules

How the four elements interact with each other in a reading:

Fire and water are enemies, they weaken each other. Wands and Cups

Air and earth are enemies, the weaken each other. Swords and Coins

All other combinations are friendly, they strengthen each other.

Fire and air are active, water and earth are passive.

The end of the elemental rules, avoid complicating...

Hi, hi!

This is really neat. I especially appreciate the way you categorize the suits in relationship to discovery; I feel like it gives me permission to futz with the traditional established order of the suits, because the Fire-Air-Water-Earth order has for some reason never set well with me.

And yes, I'm definitely stealing the court card chart for my own study! Thank you!

just to be clear, none of this is my creation, just gatherings from years of reading.
