What are your basic seeds? Tarot ~ The basic seeds of reading Aces: Singularity, the root, the source, power of one. New beginnings, potential 2) Duality, polarity, possibility, fluidity, magnetic power. Balance, relationship 3) Creation, creativity, synthesis, generative power. Birth, growth. 4) Order, solidity, building power, stability, structure, stagnation. 5) Evolution lie over time, power of change. Conflict, uncertainty, instability. 6) Awareness, harmony, beauty, meaning, power of pattern, communication, problem solving, equilibrium. 7) Experimentation, exploration, moving power, reflection, assessment, evaluation. 8- Organization, understanding/undertaking power, progress 9) Integration, healing power, op of power, compromises, compassion, spirituality. 10) Culmination, transforming power, completion, perfection, cycle end. 11) Page: enthusiasm, messages, education. Relate to 10’s world future. 12) Knight: rescue, extremes, quest, speed. Relate to 6’s, beauty. 13) Queen: Mature, nurture, qualified. Relate to 3’s, understanding 14) King: Leader, pretector, authority. Relate to 2’s, wisdom. Kate Warwick-Smith: Court cards in a reading--Who: Supports? Detracts? Provides resources? Challenges? Swords-Discovery Days for timing, Winter for season. Cups-Thoughts on discovery. Weeks for timing, Spring for season. Wands-Action on discovery. Months for timing, Summer for season. Coins-Results of discovery. Years for timing, Autumn for season. Elemental Dignity Rules How the four elements interact with each other in a reading: Fire and water are enemies, they weaken each other. Wands and Cups Air and earth are enemies, the weaken each other. Swords and Coins All other combinations are friendly, they strengthen each other. I especially appreciate the way you categorize the suits in relationship to discovery; I feel like it gives me permission to futz with the traditional established order of the suits, because the Fire-Air-Water-Earth order has for some reason never set well with me. And yes, I'm definitely stealing the court card chart for my own study! Thank you!
