Thoughtful Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 l know this deck of Chiro's has been out for a long while. it was always at the back of my mind to investigate it but never got round to it. That is until now. Suddenly had this urge to look at the Youtube reviews to see if the cards peaked my interest. Well they did, and l wanted a closer look at them in real life. l managed to get a brand new deck and book for a very reasonable price. Wow! is all l can say, the book and Chiro's story is wonderful l had to read his story twice. The meeting he had with Gianluca Colombo de Savoy was so well written l could believe it really happened, though obviously it was based on his dream. The cards are amazing, there is something about them, it's hard to say what. They appear to be images that give me the impression l am looking at a film, there is colour, movement, and they seem to have a life of their own. Why did l wait so long, but timing is everything. Having purchased other decks over the years they gave me insights into how the various decks spoke to me, and l also gained valuable knowledge, enough to be ready and able to read for others. Having the Legacy tarot at this stage of my journey has really opened up my visual senses. It has also sharpened my intuition to the extent that the deck speaks so clearly to me l have to keep up with what it tells me. My husband is a reader also, but he uses the Medicine Animal cards, always has done. l have tried to teach him the tarot but it was always a lost cause ;D It all seemed too complicated for him even though l used various tarot decks. I pulled a few cards from the Legacy and casually asked him what he could see and feel, what was the story there for him. Being a bloke and an anti tarot one at that, he didn't want to fiddle about with tarot. Being a woman and an avid tarot one l insisted. Would you know it, he reeled of his thoughts on the cards so accurately that l ended up pulling several other cards for him to read. l was as amazed as he was, all this without RWS or book knowledge etc. He so surprised himself that he was reading tarot, he admitted he loved the images and they spoke to him, so much so that he has ordered his own deck. l never thought my Roots of Asia deck could be overtaken or at least be on a par with another deck as strongly as this. How about you, do you have a similar story to tell about working with Legacy of the Divine?
Thoughtful Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 Ah no replies :( Well l guess this deck because it has been on the market for a good few years has lost favour. Other wonderful, bright and new decks have put Legacy way back in the want list. But to any newbie, do not dismiss this tarot you will find it very talkative. l would still like to hear from folks who are still using this deck to comment, or if you are on to newer more exciting decks, can you remember how you got on with the Legacy. This tarot is like no other for me and my husband. We surely cannot be the only ones invited and pulled into the images in such an intuitive and psychic way. Or perhaps we are ;D
ilweran Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I love this deck, I've had it since it was published after eagerly watching it's development These days LotD seems a bit neglected compared to the others. Or that's the impression I get.
Thoughtful Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Thank you for responding ilweran :) So glad that my hubby and l are not alone in loving this deck. You know some of the older decks have a lot to give still. New decks come and go, but anything Chiro Marchetti has produced is always a winner. l have enthused about this particular deck because l was blown away at how it reads so clearly and intuitively.
Saturn Celeste Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I love the deck! It was one of my earlier deck when I was doing a lot of writer readings and it worked really well when I needed to put a face on the story. It works good in relationship readings too!
Jewel Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I did not respond earlier because though I have had the deck since it was published I have just not gotten around to using it. It is on my list of decks to work with this year though. I really love Ciro's work as well and have used and enjoy his Tarot of Dreams, and enjoyed the Gilded as well though I gave that one to a friend that wanted to learn tarot and fell in love with it (by then I had The Tarot of Dreams :))

It was one of my earlier deck when I was doing a lot of writer readings and it worked really well when I needed to put a face on the story. It works good in relationship readings too! Have only been doing self readings at the moment so l can get to know the deck well before l read for others. One reading I did was to ask dad if he had a message for me, he passed a long while ago. l got the 5 Coins - this instantly rang a bell. Last year l had a bad time, and felt and looked like the woman holding out her bowl for help. l knew instantly he was aware of the situation, and that l only had to ask and he would help me in whatever way he could spiritually. Next card was Queen of coins - first thing l noticed was the bright light on her brow, her third eye. Dad knew l had intuition but we never spoke of it. Before he died he said l was to use my gifts to help others. There was more to these cards which is private. But l was very comforted and also amazed at the depth and clarity that those two images relayed to me.

For some reason the Legacy has such power and depth that they do not appear as just images to me. They come alive and speak with such knowing. l wish l could explain more lucidly what this deck means to me. But some things are beyond explanation :) Be interested to know what your experience will be with this deck.
Thoughtful Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Oops just realised l spelt Ciro's name wrong, that came from reading his book Gateway to the Divine Tarot, and seeing where his name comes from Chiro.

FLizarraga Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 I had this one, and also the Gilded Tarot, and traded both away. Both are nice, and LotD is probably one of the most gorgeous decks I have ever owned, but neither was a reader for me. I trimmed and gilded my copy of LotD, and I miss it more than I ever thought I would. I'll probably give it another chance at some point.
Thoughtful Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 Always worth giving it another chance. If a deck does not read well for me l put it on the back burner, if at a later date it still stays silent l will pass it on. l found with the Roots of Asia and the Legacy an instant connection, these are my go to decks now. l have talked so much about these two decks l must be becoming a bore, but enthusiasm drives me on. When a good connection happens with a deck it gives me trust. The connection is one l feel deep down within me, its a knowing, something l feel on a spiritual level. There are one or two other decks that l am happy with but its more an on off relationship. Some days l get brilliant readings, then other days its a bit meh! But the two l mention here are constant, hence my complete trust in them.

I don't do "more exciting" or newer. Sure I'll give a new deck a test drive - but... I love LotD. I use it sometimes; I use most of my decks sometimes. Ciro's work is beautiful and always contains details that other decks don't show. Even the often maligned Gilded - I well recall the day there were sheep on a card and my sitter said they totally related to her situation, and that although Gilded was her go to deck she had never noticed those sheep before.

Its details that you mention about your sitter and the sheep that l love. We can all miss things that's why l am taking my time with The Legacy, pouring over every detail so l do not miss a thing on each card. Sometimes though if l pull a card for myself it will take me off somewhere with such meaning, that l do not see everything, only what l need to know. But l suppose that does not matter, as what is received at the time matters most. Ciro really does put some meaningful and different aspects into The Legacy cards.
