Hi,

I have a basic questions, is outcome in spread of situation- advice- outcome is based on the advice suggested by the cards.

Eg if cards are 6 of pentacles-lovers- hermit then if I follow the advice being given by lovers and outcome will be what hermit is suggesting or is it that outcome is given but good thing to do is to follow the advice..please suggest.

I think that depends on what you were thinking when you drew the cards, ashwsh[/member] , since it could actually be either. 'Outcome' is always a fiddly little thing, which is why it's important to be clear in your visualisation.

That said, in the absence of a clear idea of the intended meaning, most commonly it seems to be the likely outcome as projected by the current state of affairs. In that case, whether it follows the actions suggested by 'advice' depends on what the advice actually suggests!

This is how I read situation-advice-outcome spreads:

Situation - the way things are now; advice - the suggested action to take; outcome - what is likely to happen if you take that action.

It's important to decide ahead of time how you are going to read these positions and then stick to it.  Debating in the middle of a reading what the positions mean will result in a meaningless reading.

Hi ashwsh[/member] .  I moved your question to Using Tarot because you're asking for advice on how to read this kind of spread, not asking for help with one of your readings.
