I never remember the readings I've done for clients once the reading is over with and some time passes. I've heard other readers say the same. The best I can do is refer to any notes I might have made in the previous reading but I don't usually take notes. (Speaking of online readings.)

So, I thought it would be interesting to post a thread so others can share about what their experience is with this. For those who have had clients or sitters who assume you remember a previous reading you've done for them, what's the reaction you've gotten when you tell them you don't remember?

I rarely completely forget a reading even if I do need to fresh up details sometimes. There are some readings I will never forget and most of my psychic flashes or psychic sessions stay with me too. I do however keep all my notes and if a person wants a second reading then I can quickly read through what came up last time before we start on the next one. If you were to ask me this question again in twenty years then I’m sure I’ll have started to forget most of it. But I still remember some of the readings that I did for other people more than ten years ago. Not the exact cards but the general experience or outcome.

I don't mean a total blitz of not remembering. I remember the sitter and the general area of their question, but I don't remember exact details. Now and then there will be a reading I do remember more clearly but usually I just remember in general and sometimes I'll ask the sitter to refresh my memory if they want to talk about the previous reading.

I've done a whole lot of readings over the years, though, and I don't think anyone would be able to clearly remember all of them. I sure can't.

Interesting question!

I usually remember the cards and their pattern for a good while, which then sparks the memory of the reading.

I'm an analytical rather than intuitive reader, which might explain it.

I have a gallery of all the photos I've taken of my readings. I also keep the online email or in another forum the PMs.  I do have some reoccurring patrons so it comes in handy to  have at least the photo to refer back to because a few times I've noticed stalker cards between their readings.  And that really helps me!

I think you remember the reading more when you are receiving the reading, when you do the reading I just forget them! Very rarely do I remember readings for others. I'm very studious though and have a copy of all my readings in a digital journal (Evernote) with a photo of the reading, this is so useful to refer back to! I don't read professionally and don't read for others that often, I mean 3 times a month at the very max, pro readers can read for people daily or more! So it's awful that they just leave my mind!

But it is awkward when someone says, oh I remember when you said that in my last reading and I didn't remember it at all and have to refer back to my notes  ;D I did a reading for my best friend in person and didn't save it as audio or in writing and it was such a mistake as we both couldn't remember it later on. I mostly do my readings online in writing and I save it all!  :heartz:

I don't think we're meant to remember. For me, the information I get comes from somewhere besides me. A painting I've done, I usually don't forget. But that's because I've consciously done that painting. When I read the cards, the message comes through me but not from me.
