Jewel13 Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Hi I just joined. I am BRAND new to tarot and finding my way. I thought a forum might also help me. :) I've started with a daily pull and while I can piece my way through the individual cards, I struggle with how to read them together so eager to learn. I am American living in Amsterdam and currently wanting to make big changes in my life. Look forward to participating in this group. X/
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 welcome home Jewel! I've decided regardless where we are on our journey, with tarot we'll always be beginners. :) that is the fun of it!

joy Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Hello Jewel13[/member] welcome to the TT&M Family X/ It can indeed be a bit overwhelming at the beginning, but I am sure you will be soon familiar with the forum. A good starting point might be the section about Using Tarot https://www.thetarotforum.com/using-tarot/ And also Reading Tarot https://www.thetarotforum.com/tarot-readings-107/

I I have started using the Rider-Waite tarot deck. Well, if you'd like, you could start a thread in the journal section to keep track of your daily draw! You could also sign up with a mentor to have a bit of one on one time with an experienced reader, if you'd like!
InfernalTarot Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Hello Jewel, I'm a newbie too! It's like first day of school all over again!
AnomalyTempest Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Hi Jewel! I consider myself new though I've owned decks for about 6 years because I just liked them, I didn't start really studying until about two years ago. I still feel like a beginner. It seems the more you learn about a card the deeper it gets.
Jewel Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Nice name ;D and welcome to TT&M. If you are just starting out you might really want to check out the mentorship section and sign up. It is a great place to learn, start making some friends and connections, and lots of encouragement to prepare you to join our reading circles! TT&M is a learning forum so you will find lots of friendly people ready to help you, and lots of years of experience between the members. Glad you found us!
Jewel13 Posted April 17, 2019 Author Posted April 17, 2019 I super new to tarot. I've poked around quite a bit on this site and it seems awesome, but my knowledge and skills are kindergarten level. :D I also poke around the world wide web which of course has tons of information. It is interesting to see the variety of interpretations, but a bit overwhelming as well. Currently I start each morning drawing 2 cards and can of course, find lots of information on the meaning of the cards, but I struggle bringing the meaning of the two together. How the cards work together or don't. Any recommends on beginner books for tarot reading/pairings? <3

You'll be in the exchanges in a month or so doing readings and giving feedback! ((
