Hello! My name is Cindy and I'm 19 years old and very new to tarot. I recently got into tarot after having a reading done that was very accurate as well as from following different tarot readers on twitter who I felt I really resonated with. Ironically, I grew up in a very catholic household where my parents have insisted tarot readings are the work of the devil lol. However, I feel that the more I've become detached to the catholic church, the more spiritual I've become. I've began reading for myself and I've read for my close friends as well and so far my readings have been pretty accurate and have really resonated with us! So far I've only done 4 card spreads and am hoping to become more comfortable with different types of spread. I'm hoping to learn all of the meanings of the cards to view them from multiple perspectives and be able to read them intuitively with all of their nuance. I am hoping to make some friends who can help me learn and who can share this passion for tarot with me :). Also, this is slightly unrelated but I really enjoy art (I love painting with oil and watercolor and drawing with graphite/colored pencil) especially in  making portraits/ nature related artwork. I wonder how my development and growth as a tarot reader will influence my art in the future.

Welcome to the forum Cindy  X/

Sounds like your tarot journey is developing nicely.  With your love of art who knows you may even think about creating your own tarot deck in the future.

Hi Cindy[/member] and welcome. I have no drawing or painting talent whatsoever, but it seems to me that a lot of people here do, so jump in. It’s a friendly place. X/

Thank you! I can't wait to be comfortable with every card in the deck to illustrate them in the future :)

Hi Cindy, and welcome to the forum! I just finished the mentorship program and it was really awesome. I can't believe how much I've learned in these last couple months! I hope you  have a good experience with it, too :)

welcome I see great things for you ,,

without cards that is,, just reading your post,, it see great things coming your way..

possibilities are great..

become tarot artist..

become famous tarotmaker

as you get lots and lots of deck you may get influences also you will be conflicted for you dont' want to copy the artist style, however it is good.  so what do you do..

also music influences you a great deal eh ? like if you were listening to classical instruemental  your artwork tends to be majestic.. but if you listen to country ,, more natural.. and rock is vibrant colours..

Thank you so much! It is interesting that you mention this as music is an important part of my art-making process and a lot of the inspiration from my artwork comes from my favorite music videos.
