McFaire Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Hello Everyone – I used to participate on AT from time to time, and it’s wonderful to see that lovely community continuing here. Thanks to you all who make it happen. I’ve been studying the Tarot for nearly 25 years now, and I still consider myself a student. I’m fascinated with the Tarot as a system in which each card is one of seventy-eight facets that comprise the whole gem that is us. I’m fascinated with the artwork that artists create, and the many ways of thinking about and reading the imagery that we learn from writers and deck creators and friends, and from ourselves. I mainly use the cards for contemplation and perspective nowadays. Occasionally I read for others. I’ve slowed down on collecting because I have quite a few decks that I haven’t spent much time with yet. So when I’m feeling that acquisitive urge, I try to redirect myself to my collection. I’m very attracted to the art, though. So there are sometimes new decks that I simply must have! I like to support creators too, so call me a philanthropist and I’ll use that as my excuse! M
joy Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Hello McFaire welcome to the TT&M Family! We have quite a few AT members here with us, so I am sure you will soon feel very home here. I hear you re the artwork, some decks are just so gorgeous!
Nordica De Spell Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Dear McFaire, I’m fascinated by the fact that I, as a newbie participant on tarot forums, can be in this position to greet you here, when you’re in fact an experienced participant...! (And so, in essence, doesn’t The Wheel’s Turn include a larger destiny than merely our individual ones... and maybe that’s the case with all of the Majors?) Well, I just wanted to say that I most deeply agree with you on most of your paragraphs, and it’s nice to hear stuff that resonates coming from another person.

Yes, I used the word "us" as a shorthand for all that is woven into the fabric of the great cosmic loom. Hey, wish I had thought of that nice phrase a few minutes ago! Nice to meet you too :)
Milkeyedmender Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Hello and welcome from a fellow new member!
Nordica De Spell Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 Yes, I used the word "us" as a shorthand for all that is woven into the fabric of the great cosmic loom. That’s what I figured, but one can’t always be sure! :)
Saturn Celeste Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 I like to support creators too, so call me a philanthropist and I’ll use that as my excuse! M Hi McFaire! Welcome to the forum! X/ I think a philanthropist is a fine excuse for supporting indie creators! It's always great to have AT members join TT&M, we have quite a nice family with arms open to receive more! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :heartz:
