HakuMata Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Hi everyone, My name is Joni and I'm 23 years old. When I was little my mother gave me my grandfathers tarot and lenormand deck. I always was curious about them and consulted the cards through out the years but I guess I was too young to understand. More recently, a few tears ago, I recieved a deck of angel cards which I started to use from time to time. I started using the tarot deck again too. Now, I started doing readings with friends and I would like to do it more often because they told me my interpretations we're spot on sometimes. Only, I'm always left unsure. So, since I really want to help my friends out from time to time but not just say random things, I'd wich to learn a lot more about myself and the cards as they are dear to me. Greetings from one soul to the universe, may it bless you all🙏
Raggydoll Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Welcome to the family, so nice to meet you! <3 What an interesting story, I love how you inherited your cards. How old was those decks, and do you mind sharing what they were called/looked like? I did inherit an old deck of playing cards that belonged to my grandfather. They were used both for predictions and gambling, but he mainly divinated with signs from nature (the flight of birds etc). I sadly don’t have that deck anymore as it got lost during a move. But I used it for cartomancy when I was in my early teens and then I was gifted a tarot deck at the age 13-14. Tarot has been a passion for me ever since
Thoughtful Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Warm welcome to you X/ How wonderful to have inherited your grandfathers cards, l would love to have a special deck like that.
Raggydoll Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 Warm welcome to you X/ How wonderful to have inherited your grandfathers cards, l would love to have a special deck like that. I like to think that one day, maybe one of my decks will be that ‘special’ deck to someone else. That would have been nice, don’t you think? Maybe it will be like that for a lot of us who was the first one in the family to fall for tarot. We get to start a new legacy. Even if it’s not through blood relatives, it can be passed down in many other ways, through children of our friends or through spouses/children of our relatives :heartz:
