TekkieTarot Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 So about a week ago I asked one of my coworkers if I could pull cards for him. I told him that I had been studying Tarot and would like to practice with him, he didn’t say no. But he didn’t say yes all he said was he had never gotten a Tarot reading done before. He went off to do some work and while he was gone I went and asked my cards if he would let me pull for him. I got the hermit, after almost an hour later he came back and asked me if I would pull cards for him. I agreed but I was shocked, because when I pulled the hermit I instantly thought no he wasn’t going to let me pull for him. The hermit to me is about isolation, withdrawal, retreating, and separating yourself from something. So I was surprised that he came back and asked me to pull cards. Does anybody have any insight on this card and what it could have been saying?
Guest libra Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 The Hermit is more about going into solitude to find yourself, rather than just getting away from others. It's a very introspective card, which suits the way many people work with tarot! As well, I sometimes see his lantern in a "leaving a candle burning in the window" sort of way. A guiding light for someone to find home. It sometimes has a "finding your tribe" kind of vibe for me, in that it speaks of your inner light drawing those to you who are meant to be in your life. So there could be some insight that you needed to give to him, and he saw that light and came back, like a moth, for that.

Hi TekkieTarot[/member], I hope you're enjoying the forum. I would like to suggest using some punctuation in your posts. Your situation is rather hard to figure out and you might have more people reply if they have something easier to read. ;)
Alizon Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 I think that in this case the hermit might have represented that he was indeed looking for answers like the hermit does. So he was interested in what the cards would say.
