Tarot learning question!

So I know the meanings of most of the tarot cards by now (not super well though).

I’d say I’m a visual learner. A challenge that I’ve encountered so far is that when people say, for example, four of cups, or any cards with a number  in the minor arcana, it doesn’t mean anything to me. But when I look at a card image, I usually immediately know what the card means. Is this okay for learning tarot? Should I try to learn what the card means just by the name? Just looking for some advice.

It sounds like you're an intuitive reader, which is perfectly fine.  But to get the most out of your readings, you should absolutely learn the traditional meanings of the cards.  We have a mentor program for beginners that you might be interested in - you can check it out here

I think as you get more and more familiar with the cards, you'll get that car understanding of the more traditional meanings, at least that's what happened for me!

When you say the name of a card, it's like I get a few versions of it from various decks floating around me all telling me a bit about what they have to say, and I can take the average of that to get a making, but that honestly just came from a loooooot of working with decks and getting to know them!
