Inner compass oracle cards

This deck just came into my possession and I’m really loving it. There are 50 cards and they feel fairly balanced (not all “light and bright” themes). The deck is small and the cardstock is the excellent. This artwork was created by an intuitive artist called Heather Hoeps. I bought it via her Etsy site:

The only thing I will say is that the box slips open very easily so I might use the bag that came with this deck instead, to not accidentally drop the cards.

you enabled me to this deck when I saw your thread post about matching decks to use together dear @Raggydoll 😂

 

I bought it and really love it! The pdf guide with it poses questions that help and also the cards are really readable intuitively. I have found it gives an accurate but gentle message. Already one of my fave oracles I think!

 

I like the little slip box for storage and the cards are really well made, quite thick plastic. I wish there was a larger size with this mini size because the art is so gorgeous but there are a lot of mini cards in the deck! The only thing I cannot work out reading some of the cards is what the numbers mean at the bottom of some of them? like an old ticket for travelling maybe? a few of them have that! lottery numbers? that is my only puzzle!

@DanielJUK Those I consider to be intuitive triggers! When they stand out, notice them and see if there’s a pattern. You might get a sense of a date or an amount by one of those numbers (I’ve found that it’s not necessarily the whole sequence that pops out but parts of it). Try to shift your eye focus and zoom out and then see what emerges (I don’t know if that makes any sense but it’s something I do when I wish to understand a significant symbol in a special context. I won’t do that all the time just when I sense that there actually is special significance there!)

And I will say that this deck works perfect with reversals too. It highlights how the energy is moving and I find it perfect for readings when I want to pinpoint areas that might be more challenging.

Yes I really agree about the energy moving themes in it, not tried them reversed yet. You are right about the numbers, 💡moment 🙂 I was looking at the numbers on a card reading in a circle and there was a free in the middle and two sets of numbers either side, my eye was really drawn to the free but ignored it. I am not sure how it would have fitted in to the reading theme but will pay more attention to them in future! Intuitively I look what area or symbol on a card leaps out at me the most or draws my eye and that works so well with this deck. Great tips ❤️

When I saw the reading for me using this deck, I was floored. And then in the last ROC @DanielJUK referred to it and then used it to read for me. I absolutely loved it. Despite my husband's resentment, I have ordered this deck and hoping to have it in my hands soon.

Sure, we can always discuss it in this thread. There’s a pdf guidebook for it but I just interpret it intuitively. Not sure if there’s a trick or a technique. I find this deck very potent and suggestive so I simply go with what comes to me 🙂

The PDF you get the link to download with it is really fascinating, for each card you don't get like a meaning but questions which are really helpful. Questions to pose for it.

 

I was really worried when I was doing your ROC reading @ashwsh that I would not get anything for you! I said I hope it gives a good reading but actually it reads so easily! The cards have things which trigger intuition but also some of them relate in a way to tarot (like strength, empress, etc).

 

But do post here if you want to discuss any cards, it's nice to discuss this deck 🙂

But I found it much easier to read than I expected, it flows beautifully and is quite different to tarot and other oracles somehow.

 

Glad you got it @ashwsh hope you love it when it arrives, it is already one of my top oracles 😂 I had such a difficult August and needed a message which would reassure me and used the oracle and really it gave me such a positive message to trust the universe and so far it's come true 🙂

I’m so glad to hear that you like it! It is such a reliable and valuable little deck, isn’t it? I would not want to ever be without it. And for once it was a European creator so the shipping wasn’t that bad for me 😀

 

Have you only done uprights or have you experimented with reversals too? I sometimes use reversals (when I’m called to, basically) and I feel like it can add a whole other dimension to the reading. But it’s only on certain occasions it seems to be necessary. The other times I get really good readings with just uprights. I guess it’s usually when I want to pinpoint areas where the energy is flowing differently and where I need to place special emphasis. But if I’m more after a message then it’s not as important. So I guess it depends on the context as well as in the type of reading one is after.

Hello @Raggydoll and @DanielJUK

 

I finally received the deck yesterday and here was my first shot at it. Am not sure if I read them well. I just asked the cards to give me a message for next 1 month.

.

Interpretation 1:- I feel in entirety the message was I need to believe in my self more, and while I may not see it currently and feel stuck, change is coming my way. This change will help ease of things for me.

 

Interpretation 2:- Another way of looking at it could be:- I need to be more confident and trust myself, I tend to undermine myself and this is blocking the good things to happen to me. This is making me resist the change. I need to have trust and confidence to make this change happen to my life.

 

I am more inclined towards interpretation 1 😉. But somewhere I could be wrong with both of them. I think the issue is if I am reading the second card ie ‘blocked’ correctly here. 

Please do let me know your thoughts.

The first card says it all 😊 The woman in the second card is also pointing at the blocked area, so I feel that you already know - deep down - where the issue is. And change will come when you acknowledge and confront it.

Hi Both @Raggydoll and @DanielJUK

 

my cousin was in town last weekend, and I tried this deck for her. My question, in the position of ‘action to take’ she got the ‘wish’ card, which talks about writing about your wish on a new moon  and let it go. Am not sure what does ‘let it go’ mean here..I have to get back to her on this. Does it mean burn it? Or bury it? Some ideas?

I would say it means that she gets really clear with what she wants, takes the initiatory steps and then trust that it will happen. Sometimes it’s just about being honest with oneself and really allowing yourself to think about exactly what you want - to envision it properly. Then have faith and don’t cling to it too much. It allows the magical process to begin. That’s how I would interpret it 🙂

Oh interesting take..I didn’t think of it this way. I will get back to her. While I overall did struggle a bit reading out the spread to her, she was my guinea pig but I actually thought she had to perform some act to manifest what she wanted. But as you suggest maybe not. She has sent me messages of reminder as a follow up on this. I will now let her know what the card exactly meant. Am still learning everyday!! Thank you very much.

If you read the pdf of meanings, they often suggest a metaphysical and magical action that someone can take with each oracle card. If you read for someone or yourself with it, I don't think it is literal, you just have to take it as a suggestion of the action to take. I just got the Wishes card in a reading for someone else and I think it is about an intention. You can make a wish on a new moon or make a plan on how to manifest your dreams, like Raggy replied, it's not exact as advice. You can take it however you want! But really this card is about "how do you make your wishes come true?" making them real and manifest.

 

I have been using this deck recently and trying @Raggydoll's suggestion of reversing some cards as "blocked energy". I just randomly shuffle them in to the deck and the message is something that needs unblocking. I did a reading for myself yesterday and this was fascinating for me! I got the gift reversed in the reading and all the other cards were about meeting new people, new beginnings and the soul mate card 😮🙂I am very interested to see how this manifests but the blockage of gift in the line of the cards (the only card that was reversed interestingly) says to me that I need to accept gifts, from people, from the universe. I often get embarrassed about accepting positive things, I prefer to be the giver! It was a lovely reading. The reversed cards really work with this oracle, good idea Raggy ❤️

I’m glad that adding reversals worked for you too! I think it can be really valuable in certain readings (and it also seem less important in others, so I just go with my gut feeling on when to add them).

The good news is that this new moon in October, 2019 happens to be on Diwali, so very auspicious day for Indians, for making a wish with all intentions and subsequently working towards making them come true 🙂

it was a good suggestion Raggy and about using it when you feel you need them in the reading! After a break I am back loving this oracle again 🙂

@ashwsh Diwali is quite a big celebrated thing in my area, although it's not the biggest Hindu community of London there are quite a few families or homes who are Sikh or Hindu and celebrate it 🙂  I always wondered why it moved around Oct / Nov and it's because of the New Moon, I never realised that before! The Chinese New Year is always on the end of Jan / Feb New Moon as well and moves around (and people take their Chinese Horoscopes from it). Anyway if they want to make an intention, that is a great time to do it if they want

Both you and Raggydoll are at a much-evolved level to use reversals...I can't get my head around using the cards in a usual manner😖. It's a long way to go for me. I will reach there someday 😀

A new moon Night is called Amāvásyā in Hindi. Usually not considered to be auspicious as and thanks to Bollywood who in turn has further amplified it as nights where bad incidents take place and evil intentions are at its peak. The reason for Diwali being celebrated on this day is because lord Rama fought the evil on this day and returned home and by lighting candles one is able to fight the darkness created in absence of no moon. 

I am going to buy a green candle from the store to light it on this day and set my intention by writing down my wish on this day, working towards it coming true. I told my cousin today, guess we both will follow the same procedure 😍. And obviously working towards making the wish come true is the most important part of this process, and trusting that it will happen.
