Carojulie Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Hello, My name is Caroline and my user name Carojulie, I am coming from AT and I am happy to meet new friends here, and also very happy to recognise several names from the tarot community already ! I am still a little in a daze from the moving and all, so I might just sit in a corner for a while untill the dust settles. I am very much looking forward to unpack my suitcases in a cosy place, so I am very happy to be here today :) A few words to introduce myself : I am both a sceptic agnostic and a believer in magic, I love tarot, crystals, herbs and lore, most of all I trust (and beware) the power of words, thoughts and intentions. I work in social services and professional insertion for a very nonesoteric big national corporation, and I like my job. I love tarot and am trying to learn some lenormand too. For the moment I am mostly a RWS girl, though I was raised with the french tarot playing cards and Marseille system.... and one of these days I will have to dig deeper into the Thoth. I like to craft little things, I am trying to control my addiction for fabrics, yarns and beads - and tarot decks. I drink a lot of tea, I like many different varieties, and my morning tea is a homemade mix of genmaïcha, chaï, and english breakfeast. I also drink wine when the occasion arises. Apart from tarot, I love tango and many other things. And also : I am french, so please be patient with my grammar and mistakes in english ! Thank you :)
Trogon Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Hugs Carjulie!!! I'm very glad you found your way to TT&M! I'm really liking it so far, in large part because of the similar, and comfortable layout that Little Fang/Obsydian has created. We only have to learn a few technical aspects of the boards, but the layout feels like home. And thank you for the wonderful introduction, I learned a couple of new things about you. I'm looking forward to your posts. ;D
Carojulie Posted July 5, 2017 Author Posted July 5, 2017 Hi Trogon, I am happy to see you here too ! So you're a mod now :) cool ! I am still looking around this sweet little place, and very happy to see all the familiar, comforting names.... with the numerous forums being created right now, I suppose it is unavoidable that there will be a form of dispertion of the AT community, but I am glad to see that there is also such efforts to stay together in one way or another. I'm glad I am not doomed to going back to doing tarot all alone in my little part of the world, that would have depressed me horridly ! So I am glad to be able to stick around you all guys ! So thank you Little Fangs :) :)
CharlotteK Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Hey Caro, so lovely to see you here (((big hugs))). It's starting to feel a lot like home
Carojulie Posted July 6, 2017 Author Posted July 6, 2017 Hi Charlotte, hi Nerdy ! (Waving enthusiasticaly to everyone)
eeviee Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Welcome! I went to school for Social Work and Psychology and I hope to end up in a social services type job, too.
Trogon Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Hi Trogon, I am happy to see you here too ! So thank you Little Fangs :) :) I am a mod! With the upset of the closing down of AT, I realized I'd been taking a few things for granted and wanted to do a little more. So, when Little Fang posted that she was looking for mod's I figured that was one way I could help out. I know what you mean about being glad to not be doomed to doing Tarot by yourself. I'm not sure that I would have kept studying and reading all these years without the great on-line community we had. And I am very hopeful that we can rebuild to here. And your English is much better than that of many Americans I know. ;)
