I'd like to ask you, if you use any oracle deck for inner child work or what oracle deck is speeking deeply to the inner child of you?

I'm in search of a lovely oracle deck especially for that and would be grateful to get some inspiration.

Hi Therese! I know this doesn't answer your question since you are looking for an oracle deck but...I am awaiting the Stolen Child Tarot deck by Monica Knighton, and part of what I love is that I foresee this deck being REALLY wonderful for inner child work. The deck is based on lines from the W. B. Yeats poem:

“Come away, O human child!

To the waters and the wild

With a faery, hand in hand,

For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.”

The art is stunning. Decks are expected to ship later this month so I haven't actually worked with it yet, but from what I have seen I think this deck will be PERFECT for inner child work.

However, I hope you will find an oracle that can fill that role since that's what you're looking for! 😊 I will have to have a think about that and will let you know if I think of any ideas 🙂

Oh, beautiful artwork!

I'll have to dive deeper in the cards and meanings, the poem is great! Maybe when you have worked with the deck you could describe your experience?

For me tarot is an oracle as well, so I'm grateful that you mentioned it! I appreciate it!

No problem @Therese! I expect to receive the deck in the next month or so, so I can update you once I've gotten to know it a bit 🙂

This is a really tricky question Therese because people do inner child work in different ways. For example an oracle that is child like or with child pictures might be good but can't think of one like that. Some people love the angel or fairy oracles (or whatever someone's favourite theme is) and use that for it.

I can't think of a specific oracle deck for this but with tarot there is a massmarket tarot deck called Inner Child Cards: A Fairy Tale Tarot also the happy tarot is quite childlike and might help with this.

So this depends on how you go about inner child work if it needs to be an oracle deck. My suggestion is the psycards. I would approach inner child work for me from a psychological angle personally and they are based on Jung. It also is a really good oracle but it's not children's pics but archetypes. However you might have a different way of doing it like things that trigger your childhood.

I cannot think of an exact fit with an oracle deck for your request 😞

Many thanks, Raven!

I think you are right, Daniel, it is different for different people. It is a good idea to look for art that triggers ones childhood.

I have a deck that I love and am looking for other decks in that manner. The deck what speeks on a deep level to my inner child are the Story Cards by Cathy Nichols. I think, they are full of atmosphere and soul.

I will look at the Inner Child Cards and the Psychards, that sounds promising, thank you for your recommendations!
