Bad Impact / How do You Protect Yourself?

Recommended Posts

Hello, anyone here wondered what can everything happen if you use the tarot very often? I guess if you read every day, you can bring close to you bad entity and you can feel it. I have at night sometimes weird and bad dreams and always wake up around 02:20 and have feeling like someone is there around and looking at me. I always use salt and put it front to the doors and window, always have closed the doors when I sleep. What are you doing for protect yourself if you are using the tarot? Never you can't know "who" gave you the answer rn. At most you can be "connected" with positive power, but it can be like some "hacker" detect your connection and somehow use it against you if you are connected for longer time.

Any opinions?

I myself haven't ever felt or thought this. Only positive vibes, positive feelings of what the cards show me. The rest is up to me really. And if the spread doesn't come out the way I'm hoping, then I accept that and read it from there. But the last few months I've been doing very few readings for myself. I like the moon-spreads and do some of those just to check the worlds atmosphere, and I do practice and demonstration spreads. I haven't ever felt any bad-vibes from the spreads. Sitters, but not spreads. Because I won't allow bad vibes. ut that's just me.

My reads are ok, and feel during it good. But sometimes happened I have bad dreams and then this. Maybe I'm sleepy too much and normally is my energy protection thick.

I don't believe that the tarot works in this way so I don't tend to protect myself.

In general I deal with negative energies with crystals - black coloured crystals are my favourite for protecting from negative vibes.

However, I find I can get fatigue from reading too much, like my mind is stimulated too much.  My dreams don't tend to be because I've tarot too much, it usually affects me getting to sleep.  It can be helpful to take a tarot break every so often, particularly if you read daily.

With regard to nightmares the best way to deal with that is probably to let down all the thoughts that refer to your day before you go to bed.

I would advice a little meditation/relaxation in the evening.

To open the windows and ventilate every day your bedroom is as well something important with regard to energies (incense can be toxic, so if you use some white sage or something, it's better to do this during the day with the windows open, not in the evening).

ETA: this below is very good (with a audio headset), I tried it!

I'm with Steph. I have never "felt bad energies" in that sense; I have felt alarming messages from the cards - but once the reading was done, so were they. I totally get that about over-stimulation for the mind - I try not to read too close to bedtime for that reason. But I do not believe that the cards, or reading them, harbour energies or invoke entities from which we need protection.

Bad dreams are usually the result of things in our own lives, not in the readings we do for others. Also - if you believe reading the cards will bring them about - it will. The power of suggestion is enormous.

I mean if you are doing this, you can be more vulnerable, because you are spending around you your energy and intuition.

I know what you meant. I simply don't believe reading the cards brings down any energies or entities that affect us directly. I do not see reading tarot cards as rendering ourselves in any way vulnerable. Except to simple tiredness.
