JohnLetter Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Check all cards meanings about selected question, and by those cards then make quote sentence???
Starlight Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 (edited) Do you mean looking up card meanings in a book and then choosing sentences to put together to give a reading? Personally, no, I don't do that, but it sounds more like the way Lenormand cards are read. Each card has keywords or key meaings that build on the card that went before it and, put together, they create a sentence. (Donnaleigh on YouTube has great videos from several years back about reading Lenormand.) Tarot is a very different system. Edited July 26, 2019 by Starlight Typo

Raggydoll Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I don’t build sentences out of card meanings but I definitely view every card as part of the whole picture and so they all merge together in my mind and my intuition helps to understand the scenario that they represent. I believe that no cards exist in isolation, and every reading is far more than the sum of its individual parts.

Emswe Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I Believe i tend to look at the cards sort of like pictures in a book. And the cards tell the story. They got their special place relative to each other. Depending on what specific part of the story they tell. I try to relate this to your queston. Lets say the cards tell you cat is chasing a mouse. From this we know that the cat is doing something to the mouse, someone. So the cards need to tell us whats happenig and who make it happen to whom? In order to put your sentens togheter. I hope you follow, dispete my language skills. If you insted of read the sentense the cat is chasing a mouse, could look at the chase in a series of photoshoots. You could give a more detailed veiw of the hunt and maybe even a likley outcome. So yes you could put a sentense togheter from keywords. But it may be stiff and take you lots of time. In order to see the Photo shoot. It would probably be easier to study the basics of the four elements. Which corresponds to the sutes of the cards. And the basic numerology of the cards. This vill let you read any card without a guidebook. On a basic level. And you will se wath is going on and in what form it take place. Like eg. ace of cups. 1 represent a New opportunity or a beginning. And the cups (water suite) represents emotions. So the basics tells us that maybe a New love or a New period of love in a relation is on the way. This is the basics of how i work I hope i stayed on topic 😉
DanielJUK Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I think I would only do this if I had multiple cards in one position, I don't think I could put all I got in the reading in one quote or sentence. Recently though I have tried to make my own quotes to represent a card in a position. This is inspired my the modern / pop astrologers online who often pick a famous quote or a picture / work of art to represent a star sign for the week / month / year. A quick and easy representation summary of what it means. So I am trying that with my readings for others, in their cards and positions, in my own writing. Shall see how this goes 🙂

Hello, JohnLetter I interpret tarot cards by forming short phrases that comprise a noun and an adjective or a noun and a verb. To the present end, I arrange tarot cards in one or more rows subject to the dimensions of the applicable surface and proceed to group tarot cards in pairs or in groups of three or four, subject to the applicable keywords, which I select according to the context of the applicable enquiry. If you would review a sample of my method, you could read my latest blog post, in which I interpret twelve tarot card in response to a question about employment: https://diaryofafortuneteller.wordpress.com/2019/07/26/a-sequence-of-tarot-cards-will-she-be-hired/ Regards KevinM Edited July 26, 2019 by Guest

Decan Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Concerning this topic, yes, but not in a strict way. I mean that I indeed tend to read from the meanings of the cards rather than from the pictures, but it's flexible. Otherwise I don't particularly use positional spreads but I don't pull a lot of cards too; so I read them as a sequence.

Im doing it obviously for 3 cards........For example knight of wands + 3 of wands can be like "walk around" "The visitor has a way around" "catch up lost ships/opportunities" & etc. Edited July 27, 2019 by JohnLetter
