This is another great oracle too where certain cards and spots influence the meaning and/or interpretation. I like it when I have the time to work with it which is not a lot, but it is a little gem.

Another one that might be hard to get now though as well.

Amazon has the decks intended for game-play for around $11 USD. There is a deck-and-book kit that is aimed at divination but it starts at $200 USD. An Amazon reviewer says it's best to buy the cards and the book separately. It isn't clear whether the "divination" cards have any special text on them, but it doesn't seem like it. Supposedly Benebell Wen has some introductory guidance on her blog but I couldn't find it.

@Barleywine

I have this one and have had it for under 10 years.

Mah Jongg Oracle

Small cards. Neat to work with, but it does take a little time to get use to its system. It gets to the nitty gritty depending on what is selected and when a person doesn't quite expect it. Behind masks or the surface of a situation. However, there are a lot of cards...

Might be an idea to have something a little more simpler perhaps as this is not something that can be read off the bat.

When I get home will have a look through everything to see if something is more suitable to your needs.

Yes, that's the one that's way out of my league price-wise. It seems the book can be had separately for around $20 and the cards for $11.

You could get real tiles for much less than the set (though $20 + $11 is a steal.) I think tiles would look a lot more impressive on the table if you had a nice set.
There are different kinds of mah jongg sets, so it might be best to pick your reading system first and shop for tiles accordingly. http://www.sloperama.com/mjfaq/types.html

Was meant to come back to this last night as I did go through my decks that are shelved and easy to access.

I still keep coming back to Mel Brown and one other Australian (I believe) actually - Belinda Grace.

Mah Jongg I really like as it is not run of the mill and definitely not that one word card that has the same meaning in 100 decks +++. However, it does involve lots of cards and the South, North, West and East positions plus a Central position. But very into it readings when you work out how to read them.

Possibly Mexican Loteria cards? They do sell jumbo sized cards, as well as the small ones.

OMG. When i read your thread title I thought you were talking about using human teeth like you’d use Runes

Runes were my first thought here as well. I don't have experience in reading them, but I guess they would be as suitable as mah jongg tiles.

Plus, a lot of people make their own sets from various material, so you could make them as edgy as you like 😉

This is exactly what I'm looking for.  I want a balanced Oracle deck that can encourage AND challenge me, and I LOVE to probe into the shadows of myself, so I want a deck that can do that too.  I don't like to be coddled, especially not by a deck of cards...  🤣  That said I have no judgements on people who just need positive affirmations, I'm pretty hardcore with my shadow work and I know that's the path for everybody 🙂 Oh and I think I was native american in a past life, I'm way into that shamanic jazz.  Thanks for making this thread! @Barleywine

Oracle of the Radiant Sun - it might look all sugar and blushing cheeks, but it packs a serious punch!

Tantric Dakini Oracle - might not be what you're looking for, no keywords, but it's definitely not conventional.

The Arthur Rackham Oracle - teeth a'plenty, though maybe more pricey than what you're looking for?

Arcana of Astrology - not many cards, pricey, but it can bite.

Tao Oracle - with 64 cards there's a nice variety.  I'll admit it's hit or miss for me but I know nothing about the I-Ching and am not a fan of the Osho Zen (same creator), but you might like it?
