22 Weeks With The Spirit Keeper's Tarot - Week 7

Ready for another week! The tarot forecast is the natural, easy part of the routine and I’m getting more of a handle on the prosperity ritual. Wednesday is proving a slippery day - I just forget to the gratitude exercise.

Forecast for this week:

Sacred Fire - The Tower - The Hector

It’s interesting to see the Sacred Fire appear again especially as it appeared in a more negative form last week. The energy here feels even more powerful. It builds and builds until something finally burst out and destroys that Tower. The sequence ends with the Hector. There will be a victor emerging from the ashes but it will not be done ‘fairly’. It’s important to avoid lording it over others in the situation.

The hexagram underscores this - Fellowship. It is creating a sense of unity and purpose to achieve goals. When everything comes crashing down, rebuilding will be easier with everyone sharing a common goal.

The Tarot forecast is definitely the easiest part of the structure to follow! I'm had trouble with the rest last week, but that's more to do with my general ennui than anything else. I'm in major avoidance mode. Hence:

Yep, The Grotesque is back in the same place. I didn't confront him and his energy last week, so it's still with me.

Okay, okay. I'll do the work.

I note his back is turned to the other two cards. The Priestess lets me know that right now, I'm best served letting go of those things I can't control and working on that which I can...myself. In a similar way, the Archangel Commander lets me know that detachment is the best protection whilst single-minded pursuit of ambition, based on reason and logic, is the best mode of attack. There's a great deal I can't do anything about, but I can control my mind and my responses.

Which is great. I guess I need to have an ambition of some kind, huh? I've kinda given up on goals at the moment since I see myself as living in a world of 'no'...which is why the 5 of Chalices is my accompanying spirit. It's not true I'm in a world of 'no'. It is true I'm focussing on all the 'noes' and ignoring all the 'yes'.

So there's work to do. My I Ching for the week is Conflict/Entitlement. I'm in the right, but I run into opposition. I need to reflect on my sense of entitlement to pinpoint the source of the conflict.

Yeah. I read that as internal conflict because of my sense of entitlement and...yeah. There's some serious internal work to do this week.

How funny that we both have a repeating card this week.

The Grotesque looks like they’ve turned their back on whatever initiation the Priestess offers. Could a feeling of unworthiness be holding you back from taking that leap?

Archangel Commander is a powerful force to have on your side as you battle those storms. The image always makes me think of Archangel Michael or Joan of Arc. Courage of your convictions.

Good luck with the internal stuff - that can be hard to deal with.

Agreed on all counts of the above! I really love the Archangels in this deck: they do bring a sense of strength into the reading.

I agree: The Grotesque is turning away from the gifts of the Priestess, just as he turned away from the granted wishes last week. I see it happening, though, and I think you're spot on. I can see myself doing it, though, which means I can do something about it....

How are you experience Sacred Fire this week? Are you finding that the energy is manifesting in a different way this week?

It’s still feeling quite volatile - like an energy that is crackling and is not being earthed. It will probably try and find the quickest way to ground, like lightning, can’t imagine it will be pretty!

Weekly Forecast Spread

1--2--3:

1 - What spirit will be most present this week?

2 - What is in my highest interest to make this week’s priority?

3 - What do I need to be mindful of and prepare for?

I Ching message: Heaven (Knight of Swords) over Wind (Four of Chalices): 44 Improper meeting

A darkness that had been subdued in the past now reemerges. What had been suppressed now bursts from the pressure and comes out onto the surface. Your conduct in the face of a tempting offer will bear great significance. On the road ahead of you is a small ditch. You must halt the brakes immediately. Do not try to roll over the ditch. The ditch represents an inferior element in your present situation that, if not eradicated right now, will have a permanent adverse impact on you. Constant and consistent checking will avoid disaster. Unions and partnerships are not auspicious.

Comments on the draw

Benebell says: "The Hollow Void builds our psychic inner platform for spiritual strength. This is the spirit presence with you as you look inward, reflect, meditate, and reach independent insight on why there is the hollow void."

And it is remarkable that this particular card shows up here as I did my ISG reading for @Raggydoll with exactly Four of Cups last evening. And I still need a few days to try to understand what the card tells me to convey to Raggydoll. So the Four of Cups is also with me into the first days of this week in this respect.

This, in turn, makes me wonder if I might be misunderstanding and try to interpret too much of what I immediately feel, such as with the ISG task. I probably shouldn't spend days thinking, that's probably not what intuition is all about. But, this is a learning process for me. So far in Tarot, I've really only used my intuition to draw the right card in a spread, which I think works very well.

Sorry about the digression at the end ☺️
