Can any of you advise on how the cards change in love readings from a general one trying to get to grips, want to be able to do love readings properly. X

To me it doesn't necessarily change the meanings it just puts them into a different perspective. For example The Sun in a general meaning is happiness, joy, and fulfillment in life; and in a love reading it indicates a joyful period in the situation and attracting happy people because you yourself are happy .

Imagination is the key.  Look at the way the figures are facing, esp court cards, if you get two court cards facing each other then you're probably on, if you get the Knight of wands galloping away from a queen or page then the lad is probably not interested.

Look at the cards you draw & make a story up: if you say get the 7/swords he'll steal your heart, if you get 4 pentacles his heart & head are covered and he's very defensive; 2/pens -- a player;  3/pens boring old fart who likes gaming too much; 4 of swords he probably needs a Viagra etc etc etc.

Thank you you are right it's being able to put the story together.

Thank you same meanings in another situation.

Usually in relationship readings the court cards tend to be people rather than energies so like Cookie said, pay special attention to the court cards and their subtleties.
