How many tarot books do you have?

I have about 20. All ebooks.

I don't have many (yet). I only have 2!

With tarot, I preferred to learn with stuff I could find online and use the books sometimes accompanying decks.

But eventually I would like to learn more about the various facets of tarot, more about the academic stuff and the ways to approach tarot and its different uses. So I plan on adding more to my library in the future  :)

Wow. I'm not really sure. Probably 10 or 15, not counting companion books for a specific deck. Although, I would include "The Book of Thoth" by Crowley amongst the 15, since there are more than a few decks rooted in the Thoth. Almost all my books are real physical books. I much prefer paper books - I can write notes and underline particularly memorable passages. Plus, I love the tactile feel of a book, the pages betwixt me fingers can't be replaced by electrons. Then too, books, like Tarot decks, have a smell that I like ... some Tarot decks, as with some books, smell differently than others.

That's not to say that I don't have any e-books. I have "The Complete Guide to the Tarot" by Eden Gray and "Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot" by Lon Milo DuQuette - both on Kindle (my Eden Gray is a replacement of a paperback copy which I had given to a friend). I also have a few PDF format books which I purchased from A.T. some years back. Those include 3 on different spreads as well as Thirteen's card meanings.

I agree that ebooks can never match paper books. There is just something special about the feel of paper books. However, I like to carry my whole stack of books wherever I go, and that is not possible with paper books. Therefore, I had being mainly purchasing ebooks and put them in my ereader.

And I carried my ereader wherever I go.

I definitely have more than 20 physical books. This does not include the companion books for some of my Tarot decks. I like complete and cohesive systems so I very much prefer deck and book sets. That would add around 25 more books to the aforementioned 20, so that would total my (mostly softcover) Tarot books to more than 45.

I haven't catalogued all my books since the year before last, so I guess it's time I check my bookshelves.  ;D

I do have ebooks too, especially Tarot tomes made freely available to the public like Waite's Pictorial Key and the works of Papus. I remember that Fool's Dog apps also include most of the corresponding companion books in their offerings. OT but I very highly recommend FD apps - the level of detail of some cards is really stunning especially if they're viewed in phab/tablets.
