Morsoth Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Just found a new (and better) video about the History of Tarot. However, it is all in French, and there is no English subtitles: One of the participant is Isabelle Nadolny, author of the amazing book "Histoire du tarot - Origines - Iconographie - Symbolisme":
Raggydoll Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 *sigh* I am sure it is EXCELLENT. Why do I not speak French? 😭
gregory Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Youtube does offer an autotranslate option for the subs. It''s not perfect but it's better than missing ALL of it ! Set up to show them and then go for settings and pick autotranslate.

Marigold Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) The most fascinating video is the one referenced further up in this thread to which _R_ gives a lot of links. The one from the TV channel Arte. People outside Europe maybe don't know what Arte is. It's a French/German TV channel that produces normally high quality documentaries. They don't go into junk TV. They do have an English website but I didn't find this documentary on it. I did watch however a nice one about the The Art and Science of Fairy Tales and the Fairy Tale Academy in Bavaria 🙂. The documentaries on their English site are sub-titled : https://www.arte.tv/en/ Edited January 10, 2020 by Marigold
