euripides Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 So I'm working with my Druidcraft on finding my path. I'd drawn the Hermit (I know, right?) and wanted to keep that card to think about so today drew another card. So I've stumbled across a spread/reading approach: a single card each day, with no replacement, laying out a progressive story from the cards. No replacement progressively limits the options, so I'm thinking I'll need to curtail the reading at a certain point, but then, maybe I shouldn't - life is like this, isn't it? Each choice you make shapes and limits the next choice. It's not often we get to go 'no, I don't like this card I drew' and start over. That card is in someone else's deck, too. What do you think? Have you tried this sort of sequential reading? It's a bit like a whole-deck spread, but with a strict linear relationship.
bookshop Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 This gets more towards reading the tarot like a lenormand deck, which is imo tricky, because tarot and lenormand read very differently. But I think it could be effective or at least lots of fun creatively, especially if you choose one card to be a significator, or maybe allow the first card you pull to be the signifier. You should try it and report back!
Guest Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 Hello, archimedea If you would like to learn to interpret tarot cards in pairs, you could study the sequential method, which is intended for use with any pattern sheet that is comparable to the Tarot de Marseille patterns. The first edition of the official guide to the sequential method, which is titled, Destiny and the Cards: a Guide to Fortune-Telling With Tarot Cards, is currently available through Amazon Kindle.
