RUI (Reading Under the Influence)

In my limited experience with marijuana I encountered many experiences, ideas, and hallucinations (I was very sensitive to it) that felt like epiphanies while I was experiencing them, but the few times I managed to write down the experience and read it the next day I was struck with how profoundly stupid they were. Also, if I didn't write them down, I did not remember. I found it impossible to even read a book while high. It didn't take me long to figure out that smoking pot was just really not for me.

I am a moderate drinker but I have never been drunk. My body just won't let me do it. I get sick before I get buzzed.

So I realize that I can only view this issue through the bias of my own experiences but it is impossible to be an objective observer of your own skill while intoxicated, and I tend to be very skeptical of claims of enhanced intuitive or psychic abilities while under the influence of drugs.

More to the point, if the mental state, idea or epiphany is only accessible through the use of neurotoxins how useful can it really be? ;)
