New Tarot Reader!

Hello all👋🏻!

I’m Victoria and I’m new to the site and Tarot. I’m always terrible about knowing what to say to introduce myself but I’m an open book and will answer any questions! If you like sassy and adventurous, I’m your gal!

I love tarot but I’m not really sure how to read, if I’m doing it right, etc., so any tips and tricks are so welcome! I’m basically just trying to teach myself with the guidebook that came with my deck and any tidbits I find on the internet, combined with my intuition!

Thank you for the warm welcome! 🙂 I just bought the Mystical Faerie deck by Linda Ravencroft. Have you heard of it?

I've heard of it, but don't own it myself - I hope you enjoy using it!

I am, it’s a beautiful deck. As a beginner I get overwhelmed with the imagery. It can be a lot to analyze. Any tips?

A couple of things that I found helpful personally, and this could go for any deck, were a notebook just for card meanings - a page or two per card, with a couple of keywords, and then I added my thoughts as and when they occurred to me - and doing a daily draw, so I'd just have one card to look at.

One thing that came as a huge relief to me as well, fairly early on in using tarot, was when I realised I didn't have to use big spreads! Two or three card spreads are fine and much more manageable when you're starting out - ime, obviously 🙂
