Page of Ghosts (page of ghosts from aeclectic) says hello!

With the upheaval going on there's quite a few forums to join, isn't it? This one looks nice and has a familiar layout of different subforums and all  :) I was/am for the last 10 days a member of the Deck of the Week group on AT so I wonder where we will end up as that will probably be my main forum I hope. For the meantime I'll have a look around here and see what's going on, I've seen a few familiar names already so that's nice  :D

To add, since I saw someone else (Carojulie) write about themselves and it seemed like a nicer thing to do for introductions:

I live in a larger Scandinavian city and I'm not currently working because of illness and disability. One day I hope to do something, but first I have some baggage to unpack.

I enjoy reading books, especially fantasy, tarot and spiritual books, play video games (my favourite genre is the intensity and melodrama of the JRPG), paint (watercolours are great!), draw, write stories, listen to and make music (I have an accoustic guitar which I'm sorta ok at, and a small MIDI-keyboard I plug into my iPad), sew (a practical skill when you are a fat little lady who's pants are always too long right out of the store) and obviously tarot! I'm drawn to the artwork, characters and storytelling aspects of tarot, but I'm also gaining an interest in historical decks and symbolism lately. I also have an interest in magic and the occult so I'm working out my path in that area... it's not easy but I feel like I'm slowly getting towards somewhere.

I just got a bike for the first time in years so I'm quite excited for that. My city, or cities in my country in general, is not very good with designated bike paths so biking in the city is scary! We can bike on the pavement as long as we don't go too fast or bother pedestrians, and in the road with the cars which is not my favourite, I don't drive so I don't know a lot of traffic rules and a lot of people think bikers disrupt the flow of traffic so I'm scared they're gonna run me over. I really wish we were a better bike nation! My neighbourhood is very calm so I'm ok there though :) I grew up in a rural area where the only rules to biking was stick to the side of the road and not get run over... simple times.

Hey Page ! So glad to  see you here  :)

I am now picturing you strolling on your bike with a tarot deck in your front basket :) Please do not get run over by a car ! Is there any chance to be able to glimpse some of your art ?

I am looking forward to seeing you in the threads, thanks for sharing a bit of info about yourself, it's cool !

Oh, I really need to get one of those front baskets now that you mention it! I've been busy getting my bike repaired since I got it used and it really needed some love and care, so now that I've changed out some parts and the gears are working it's time to think about that basket.

I have been known to share a little sketch or two on my instagram page ;D if you want the address I would be most comfortable sending it to you privately.

Hi Page of Ghosts, I'm here too! I also love SFF, and have to hem all my clothes because I am extremely short and stout. Nice to see you here! I'm hoping we settle our DOTW here, but I guess we will see how things shake out.

Another sewing enthusiast, yay! I'm trying to branch out to make some of my own clothes from scratch, it would be really fun and a change from all that hemming. I made a coat from scraps this spring and although there are things I'd love to change if I got some more material from the fabric store I'm very proud of myself that I made some useable outerwear  :)

I really like this forum so I hope so too, but yeah, we'll have to see. I like that I can choose a layout here so I have the astronomy with lovely blues and purples, and the subforums are nice and familiar to me. We'll just have to wait and see!

You would love San Francisco.  It's very bike friendly.  Many bike Lanes .  Lots of people bike to work because the traffic is so bad.  Welcome

Welcome!

I'm also on disability, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one!

I love to read as well. I see that you paint, I really enjoy doing that too, but I feel as though I'm not very good. I'm also into the occult, hope to see you around the Spirituality section!

Hi Page Of Ghosts!!!! It's great to see you here! Welcome to TT&M!

It's a shame that the cities aren't more bike-friendly, but I guess that kind of thing always depends on where you go. I've been thinking about getting a bike lately, but right now, I'm just trying to build up my walking beyond a 1/4 mile. I was up to 1 1/2 to 2 miles several times a week last fall, but the winter kinda put a stop to that.

I am also hopeful that DotW will settle here as well. I just looked and the voting on VG's poll has TT&M ahead by 2 votes! I think Little Fang did an excellent job setting this all up for us and, if I recall correctly, was the first new one to be up and running (not counting Cartomancy which was already there). And this ended up being so nice that I really want it to succeed.

I also like to paint, but haven't for years. The best one I ever did was a pair of ducks that I did for my mom. I got it back after she died. You can see it on my Deviant Art page, just click the globe icon under my avatar - go to Gallery (button near the top), then click the Paintings section on the left. Some of my best photographs are on DA as well.

Anyway! Welcome! I'm very glad you washed up on our shore. ;)

Hi Page of Ghosts. Great to see you here, it's a lovely place. I'm hoping DOTW settles here too :)

I don't so much by way of sewing clothes apart from taking things up and mending, but I do knit, crochet and cross-stitch :) I love the storytelling aspect of Tarot too, and being able to weave a narrative is something I really want to work on.

Look forward to.seeing your posts  :)
