AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 this Lo Scarabeo 2019 deck is based on the Sola Busca of 1491, and the language is Italian I believe. I think the last word is infinity but can anyone translate the ribbon and other words on the disc edge? I'm not having any luck with on-line translators, they seem to think I am ordering a plate of chips.
gregory Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 (edited) The cherub on the left has a banner reading "Trahor Fatis" - I am drawn by fate. Around the big coin is the motto,"Servir. Chi persevera infin otiene"--"To serve. If you persist you obtain [your goal] in the end." There's a thread on the history forum: http://forum.tarothistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=530 Edited October 30, 2019 by gregory
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted October 30, 2019 Author Posted October 30, 2019 wonderful! and I have that thread bookmarked, did it when I preordered the deck...and promptly forgot. Thanks for the memory bump. that was so helpful and confirms what I thought in my reading.
