In the past few months I have received the Chariot in a few smaller, but important readings. I've been thinking about it quite a lot as of late as I question its relation to cards that feel similar - The 10 of Wands for example, when touching on the more "working hard" aspects of the Chariot. It also sometimes reminds me of the 9 cards to a degree, the 9 of Pentacles, the 9 of Cups... I think the thing that intrigues me most is that it seems to carry the energy of many other cards, reminds me of other cards, yet is wholly unique. It is both "victory" and "perseverance", "coming out the other end" and "jumping in". It feels like a fiery card, even with some relation to Helios' Chariot, yet it also has relation to Cancer and water.

In Arnel Ando's The Transformational Tarot, her Chariot is Challenge, and is depicted with a drawing of a skateboarder by her own son included in on the collage she made. I like this view of the Chariot, as "Challenge Accepted", especially for someone like me who gets quite nervous over competition. This card in this deck reminds me of the fun in the challenge, the joy in the fight. The power that comes in saying "No" to antiquated systems that you're told you must follow because it's "proper" or "has always been like this".

I would love to hear from other's what speaks to them most from the Chariot! Phrases or thoughts that come to mind, or any favourite cards. When first learning about Tarot, I didn't pay that much attention to this card since it seemed quite open and closed in its meaning. I'm now starting to see it for the complex being it is.
