Can't Figure Out How To Renew Subscription

Yeah, it’s the same for me. I had reported this last year by PM but it had to be at a time when there was a lot to do and so I had not insisted.

I have subscribe buttons.
But -
I'm not currently subscribed. It may be different for people trying to renew.
I'm using Waterfox. Have the people having problems tried another browser?

Yes, tried multiple browsers, but sadly the same.

@Little Fang the buttons for buying a subscription are dead for me, as well.

Me too - though as I'm a life member that is probably why... I tried on another browser, but unless I sign up, I can only access GIFT subscriptions.

Us life members cannot ever renew, we have never had buttons there 😀

 

We're looking into everyone's elses renewal issues and hopefully will have a solution soon

There were a limited number of lifetime subs given as rewards for our Kickstarter!

They had to escalate the issue to a higher department.  I hope we hear something soon!

No you aren't You can see that I am in my profile.  You would also know - you'd have paid for it. I see Daniel also pointed this out already.

I see that now. For some reason, your post didn't show up before. His post was directly underneath mine earlier, hence the confusion (That happens sometimes when I am browsing on my phone...)

 

I'm sure it will al be sorted out before January 2022!

You can look at the medals under the avatars. "S" is Subscribed, "KS", I would assume, is Kickstarter. I don't know if all the KS ones are lifetime, though.

But I only subscribed once and that would've expired long ago, yet the medal is still there. Another source of the confusion ...

There was similar confusion last year and it all worked out just fine.  Let’s take a deep relaxing breath and be calm in the knowledge that Little Fang will make everything right!

It's LF who does all the problem solving, I agree. Everything eventually gets fixed.

Thanks for looking into it, and thanks @Little Fang. At work I sometimes do trouble shooting for other staff so, knowing how complex it can get, I always appreciate it when anyone does that for me. And I'm in no hurry.

No they weren't . There were a lot of options.

How to tell - if you are a lifetime, your profile shows this:

yeah when we had a kickstarter to fundraise to upgrade the forum to this wonderful software, there were various tiers to choose. The top one meant you wouldn't have to renew again and you get the label that gregory showed. Everyone else who bought other tiers with subscription perks got the KS badge. People currently subscribing get the S badge.

 

Some years ago there was an issue as the Kickstarter subscriptions came to an end and didn't move on to the forums own system of renewal and everyone had to be moved over.

 

I think all the Kickstarter subs (apart from the limited edition lifetime tier) should now be over, the max was a year and the forum upgrade was in 2019.

 

We will get to the bottom of why people cannot renew and hopefully will hear back from the tech support so just hold on 🙂
