Crystalline Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 I hope I put this in the right place! I did a reading about the soul connection between two people and got the Devil with King of Cups as a clarifying card. As these two people are both in separate relationships, I'm thinking that The Devil is perhaps regarding lust and desire...but King of Cups is about emotional control, compassion, kindness, etc. And as a SOUL connection... I'm kinda stumped with this combo! They don't seem to go together to me. Any insight?
Rodney Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 The Devil speaks of a star-crossed lovers type of connection. The Devil doesn't speak to whether or not the two people are good for each other. It just says that they can't let each other go. What does the Devil have in common with the KC? Control. The Devil controls the people before him and/or those people have relinquished control to someone/something else while the KC has control of his emotions. Assuming that the two people have not been in a relationship so far in this life, then the KC as clarifier highlights the control aspect of the Devil. While the two folks have controlled their emotions (assuming they've honored their separate relationships), they aren't able to maintain enough control to leave each other alone. That's the type of soul connection they have.

But like you said, it doesn't seem like they can let each other go. So there does seem to be a deep soul connection. Perhaps they were together in a previous life? So, although they are able to control their emotions, they can't really control the need to be a part of this person's life in whatever way they can?
