Day Soleil Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 It's a breathtakingly beautiful drawing and no one will notice the fingers on the small size of the card. I'm so excited to get my hands on this deck I can hardly stand it!
MoonCoach Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 I'm still tempering with Temperance...will have it on the final deadline (10th). ...

MoonCoach Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 So, I might have scrapped my first hand painted version with actual dried flowers and seeds...for a graphic version that just came to me...I've known all along that I wanted to portray some kind of Alchemical process...that manifests from one form to another...and also felt that Vibration or Frequency had to be part of it. Although I absolutely love the Angel that appeared as I was experimenting with paints, and then the dried flowers...I'm sooooo NOT an Artist that I'm a bit shy about even sharing that version. Instead, I started playing with graphics, and boy am I loving it. There is no 'Angel' in the usual form as we see traditionally in Temperance - it really is a Frequency - the Radiant 'Guardian' Angel that I equate with our Solar Angel has form but it's Sound (and Colour!), which explains why I kept feeling that originally I thought of putting Crystal Singing Bowls in it. Anyways, I realize that creating these cards is not about an end result so much as it is a PROCESS. Anyone else been feeling that? Other couple of times I've worked collaboratively, or on my own decks (still in process), I've felt that same way. I don't know - maybe that is what Artists feel? A process in which maybe there is a mental concept or vague idea...but as one works with your medium of choice, it is a process of allowing the 'thing' to unfold, to gestate, to shapeshift and finally to take the ultimate Form it was meant to take. This applies to writing a song or musical composition, or to painting or drawing a piece of art, or to designing an interior (that's my old career actually). The process itself is Alchemical, and it CHANGES YOU, the one 'doing' the process, or rather THROUGH which the process occurs, and in so going thru this, One's Higher Light radiates into whatever is taking Form. I equate this to the Genius with which we are all born, and this IS the Holy Guardian Angel (Solar Angel), which is ultimately YOU in highest Vibrational reality. So, whatever we produce, IS Art...an Alchemical Transformation of our own Consciousness thru the Act of changing ourselves. WE are the very 'thing' that is being tempered into Perfect Radiance thru this process. You know, I think I just described Temperance, lol! Temperance is special to me, because Astrologically it is Sagittarius - which happens to be my Moon sign (and I also did the Moon card). I guess I'll just go ahead and share a few images here so you understand the painful process of creating this card...which happens to be another aspect of Temperance, truly an Alchemical Art. I'll probably tweak it a bit more this weekend and email @Raggydollthe final piece on Sunday. Anyways, I'll also include here another Temperance card that I can tweak - I never finished this particular version. The 'Angel' is a statue of Mary Magdalene that i took a picture of while visiting Italy a few years ago. It's unfinished, so not perfected at all yet, lol. I am open to hearing which of the 3 in process Temperance cards seems most fitting for the deck...although my sense it is the one with the 'Vibrations' (having the music notes as background).
Raggydoll Posted May 8, 2020 Author Posted May 8, 2020 @MoonCoach I love seeing so many different versions in progress! I agree that the one with the notes stands out!
geoxena Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Ooh, ooh, @MoonCoach, the colorful one with the musical notes - yes! It's striking.
zedekiel Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 @MoonCoach I think as well the music notes one is stunning! But It's amazing how you've made three (and a bit more with the variations) completely different versions that are all so inspired! I understand the feeling of working on something like this that's incredibly important to you. I love the feeling of "alchemy" and "vibrations" in the music notes one. Temperance is one of my top favourite cards and you've done a wonderful job here. If I bought this deck with no idea what was in store for its contents, when I'd come to Temperance I'd be SO pleased with your work.
MoonCoach Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Thank you all for your feedback! Ok, so I am going to settle on one of these - slightly different versions - added 'energy' pouring in gold out of the gold chalice, and silver energy out of the silver cup, and meeting in the central figure, to which I added another layer, as well. Another version has piano keys...i think it might be overkill...but would maybe? And I also 'blurred' the rainbow background. I uploaded it to MPC again to make sure they are within the safe zone...I hope I left enough space on the bottom for the black title band? Ok, finalizing it tonight so I can send it to @Raggydoll before the end of the evening. I'll send the description tomorrow as I've had insomnia for weeks - months actually - and my brain is too fuzzy for proper writing at the moment. Thank you all again. OH, and WOW to the other cards I just saw!!!! Wow, this is going to be a truly beautiful deck 🙂
geoxena Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) Hi Mooncoach, I like the second one best, with the silver and gold pouring out of the cups. It is just what you needed. But I quite prefer the brighter background of the first card. And you're right about the piano keys - too much! Regarding the size, it just needs to be 897 x 1342 pixels and at least 300 dpi, leaving about a half-inch bleed all around for the safe zone (at 300 dpi, a half-inch is 150 pixels wide). Don't worry about the title band - Raggydoll adds that below the image. Edited May 9, 2020 by geoxena
Starlight Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 (edited) I love this card! I like the bright background of the first card as well (those colour vibrations are not being muted in the first card but ringing out beautifully), and how you added in the gold and silver pouring from the cups in the second card. Really really lovely. 🙂 Edited May 9, 2020 by Starlight
MoonCoach Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 Thank you again for the feedback. I tried and tried to make the final changes...and I think I got it (your feedback was invaluable!). However, my graphics program is decidedly NOT cooperating, so I cannot export it to the image file...I've given up for tonight. The program continues to crash, so I'll do it tomorrow as it's now nearly 1am, and can't keep my eyes open.
