Kickstarter: Lenormand by J.E. Stretch

J.E. Stretch the guy who made the Stretch Tarot has launched a Kickstarter for his new Lenormand in the same style as the Tarot deck, the Kickstarter is here

 

 

I was totally into the Stretch Tarot from @Raggydoll raving about it and it came about by Kickstarter and is now sold as a deck from his website that anyone can get. He takes public domain vintage photos and illustrations and creates collages on the cards.  I loved the tarot deck for it's diversity, it had real minority representation and diversity in sex and gender and it's a lovely deck. I love the art and style of his work, it's beautifully made.

 

Now he is making a Lenormand with the same collage style. Each public domain image will be set on a page torn from a vintage dictionary, and in the top left-hand corner you will find playing card inserts taken from a miniature vintage deck.  It will have the regular 36 cards plus an extra Man / Woman which is the mirrored number, so you get 2 genders for both card number 28 and 29. The people cards are also cleverly designed to represent any gender, race, or sexual orientation.

 

There are many different Pledges of different amounts for it.

 

The Kickstarter started yesterday and closes on the 20th of February 2020 and must meet it's target to be funded! However it's already at 60% there after 24 hours, his tarot deck before was very popular and nice to see this is doing well as well. They are expected to be delivered in May 2020. I keep wanting to call it the Stretch Lenormand but that's not the deck's title!

This is beautiful!!! Love the art of the Stretch Tarot and I am sure his Lenormand will be funded very quickly!

Just to update this thread, the deck went way over it's original target really quickly and there is now a stretch target if it goes over £6000 for gold card edges and superior cardstock. The different pledges are still available and he is about £1500 off the stretch goal but even if it doesn't make it, it's a funded project with decks going out with the estimated date of delivery of May 2020.
