How do you interpret the 5 of pentacles reversed in a love reading?

Without a specific question or knowing what fell with it, nobody can say specifically what it alludes to in this reading. But it's a worrisome card under any circumstances, and when it's reversed it points to worsening conditions.

I don't do reversals to be honest but this looks plausible. The 5 of pentacles gives you a feeling of negative energies surrounding a relationship. In a reverse position these energies are also reversed.

Depends of the other cards, but alone it can mean that they feel that they are not a good match anymore.

Hey Holly...so it's just my opinion, but in reverse I would take it to mean that the person {or persons} in question will soon start receiving the financial/emotional/physical support that had been lacking in the relationship for so long.

Five of pentacles in a love reading is something I would read as one or both parties in the relationship will be wanting for resources soon. They may have a strech of emotional unavailability, illness that makes their time less easy to give... or it could be that money is going to be an issue.

 

Now reversed, I'd see it as the opposite - emotional resources for a relationship are on the way, maybe closer than the individual maythink. Maybe even right though the next door.

5 of pentacles -  pointless contribution, I have tried many times and this has not led me anywhere. Worst card for emotional distress. Card of the loser, windmills, unrequired love. Reversed, it adds helplessness. Also, card of the lovers, who could not be together and can't find the joy in their emotions. Sad card, lasts for a  long time. In some cases it may present a relationship, which has been through all of this together, but finaly made it, but more often for people who are not separated it meens you don't feel appreciated or lonely with your partner.

Upright it can point to the ways you are disadvantaged. Unrequited love,  loneliness, wishing for what you can't have. Reversed - the pain will come to an end - but not necessarily in a pleasant way.

 

But context is all. These "meanings" mean nothing without the other cards.
