TheBabelite Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Not certain if this is the right sub board, so feel free to poke me, close/move, etc. Recently I've found myself having a tougher time finding the energy for Tarot. I am often busy seeing friends, working on other interests, or just trying to find work. As a result, Tarot has gotten harder and harder to do reliably, as I finish and start the day exhausted, Does anyone have any advice? Best, The Babelite
ilweran Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 I find, for me, it goes in cycles. Sometimes I seem to need a break from the cards, or need to use them less. I'm at that point at the moment, though I've not stopped studying my deck I've only rarely been reading with it. And it is partly exhaustion for me. We've all been ill (me, my parents, my husband, my six year old! I've had awful sinusitis.), and I've had so many things to do anyway.
Razdrez Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 I have been in the same situations numerous times, where I did not have time to even touch my deck. This is particularly tough when life is getting tiring as I would not imagine doing a reading when I'm exhausted or not in the right mindset... However I used different ways to staying in touch with the cards: - I have gone through some interesting past readings in my head - I have tried to relate situations and people to Tarot cards - I have tried to simply think of individual cards throughout the day - Read books, my notes on cards or on readings (this again if I have some spare time) I have never been really keen on using the "pick a card a day" method but that also could be an alternative to stay connected to the cards during those busy times... Hope it helps!
