Looking Forward to Great Discussions

Merry Meet and Hello! I'm just going to jump right into a lengthyish intro now to get it out of the way. 🙂

 

I've been doing tarot and other card readings primarily for myself with the occasional readings for others not long after my dive into Wicca about 20 years ago (nowadays, you'll hear me refer to myself as a Witch with heavy-Wiccan influence; the labels are not important, so call it as you will). For my entire adult life, I have been told numerous times--primarily by professional readers--that I have a natural inclination for doing what they're doing. But, as one such friend liked to point out, I had too much of a tendency of putting my carriages before my horse while egged on by my entrepreneurial spirit to try out my other passions back then. I had passions galore, recognized my uniqueness, and was too busy running from past traumas to feel like I had any authority or business telling others what I saw in the cards for them (same as if you're terrible with money and numbers, you probably shouldn't offer your services as an accountant...). While I did occasionally dabble with the idea, I did not push forward with trying out readings professionally or as a business venture.

 

Cue motherhood and a few traumas later (my Saturn Return was rougher than imagined...), and I'm way out of practice. With all that happened, I had to question my intuition and how I'd let myself go so far astray. I was doubting myself, doubting my intuition, doubting my own ability to discern facts from lies. But when I paid closer attention, the issue was not with my intuition, but my trusting of the information and nudges my intuition gave me along the way. I stopped my running, got some therapy, took breaks from any and all projects while working even more out on my own, and, wouldn't you know it? I can see what all those others were talking about years before. It feels like a calling and one I'm finally ready to take up!

 

The knowledge is still there, the skills still apparent, but I'm rusty. In my search for remedial training and practice opportunities, I found Tarot, Tea, & Me and love what I see so far. I hope that I'm able to provide at least as much as I receive in joining in your community and look forward to interacting with all of you!

Hi and welcome!  There's a section for Reading Circles/Exchanges that you'll be able to access after you've made 5 posts.  We have an "Intuitive Study Group" there, with exercises for exchanging totally intuitive readings with other members.  I think you'll like participating there.

 

This forum is also collaborating on a tarot deck called We Are One.  Why not sign up to create a card or two?  Deadline for finishing cards is end of April.  It will be a mix of perspectives and interpretations, with a wide range of artistic styles, abilities, and techniques.  Check it out!
