Little Fang Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Hey family! ❤ Who here has attended a tarot convention or conference? Share their name, location, and your experience! I'm looking into attending one at some point.
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I don't know where you are but the 6th annual NW Tarot Symposium (USA) is just over, but it's a good one. https://nwtarotsymposium.com/ I've never had the money to attend any seminars, but I've enjoyed the public areas. The one in New York is highly praised. It would help to know where you are for specifics. Given money I'd be all over every class/talk
Little Fang Posted March 10, 2020 Author Posted March 10, 2020 The beauty is I'm flight crew so I can travel where I need. (preferably in the states!) But I hope this thread can help others too.
gregory Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I went to a tarot professionals one once - no, twice - in Keswick, UK. The best part was the people I met. Some sessions were brilliant, some were - not. It depends a lot on who is offering sessions, to be blunt. if you can score Barbara Moore, or Mary Greer or Kim Huggens - great. I don't choose to name the ones about whom I would say not so great, as no doubt others would have disagreed.
and_it_spoke Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 While not a tarot specific event, I am planning on hitting the Victory of Light expo this year in Cincy. Tarot is represented by readers and sellers, though. There is even a seminar on 'Tower Card' moments in life. This will be my first time, and this thing looks... wild. 🙂 I'm not a believer in a lot of what is being presented here, but I really like the idea of spending time among people who are unafraid to believe what they believe. I hope I don't sound judge-y, or like a tourist. IT just all seems so fascinating.
gregory Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Readers' Studio is in New York. Everyone I know who has been enjoyed it.
katrinka Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I've never been to any of them, but if I was going to pick one, SF BATS looks like fun. http://www.dodivination.com/sf_bats_now__going_forward It says at their facebook page that they've scaled down to smaller, salon type events, but AFAIK, there's plans for 2020. Whatever you decide, I wouldn't plan anything until summer. A lot of events are getting cancelled because of COVID-19.
and_it_spoke Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 Aaaaaand Victory of Light has been cancelled.
Little Fang Posted March 11, 2020 Author Posted March 11, 2020 @katrinka Definitely not planning on anything any time soon 😉 But I do want to make plans for the future! Thanks all for sharing these!
