TheFeeLion Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I've just discovered this deck by Tomas Hijo! I need to know more! It looks like it's inspired by Guillermo del Toro. I've always been fascinated by the creatures he creates. Does anyone know more about it? Got pics?
gregory Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Tarot-del-Toro/Tomas-Hijo/9781683839798 There are several images under LOOK!
Niobium Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 !! A woodblock style deck! I've been looking all over for one in this style for ages. Pips, which I'm not normally that fond of, but I like the style enough that I think I can get over it.
Merrick Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 No Hellboy is disappointing. I realize there are probably licensing issues that prevent them from using Hellboy imagery.
TheFeeLion Posted April 25, 2020 Author Posted April 25, 2020 Thanks @gregory that's the most pics I've seen in one spot! @Merrick I wasn't disappointed until I remembered about some of the pretty awesome creatures in Hellboy 2
gregory Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 I have now preordered. I blame @TheFeeLion See, I am spending NOTHING on gas as I can't drive so you'd notice, so I have a reserve, and...
TheFeeLion Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 I'll happily take the blame for that @gregory 😜
Queen of Nothing Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Oh geez, I'm probably gonna preorder as well. I doubt I would read with it very much since I don't care for pip decks, but I love his films. I remember watching The Devil's Backbone with my dad when I was WAYYYY too young to be watching that kind of film.
Madkiki62 Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 I love this deck because it seems to fit me because I love Guillermo Del Toros movies. So, I wonder if we should come to our own interpretation of each card based on the movies that each character came from? this forum is a great place for all of us come up with own cheat sheet card meanings.
