The website says "New edition - coming soon" 😊 . They have apparently altered the dimensions and the website says it will be sold in a box (I am thinking tuck box?).

It will apparently be published by Green Man Press

This OOP deck has fetched some ridiculous prices and so this is certainly good news!

Interesting! It’s good that it’s coming in a box - I prefer storing decks in their boxes as far as possible.

Yeah, the original big box for this set was pretty useless. The cards kept moving around. I keep mine in a bag instead.

Ohhhhh!!!!!! I am so excited by this! I was looking into it and it says that they are closed on Green Man's Etsy page... I am assuming it is related to COVID and it is not clear when they will re-open, which is a bummer but not unexpected in these times. However, I am still super excited for when it comes, whenever that may be! Thanks for sharing this 🙂

I’ll likely be getting a back up too 😋

Hmm, this piqued my interest so I checked his sites for the decks and his store.  I have to say I was impressed by the fact that someone has a physical store, an internet store/presence on Etsy and his own site, and is an artist who has created and published several of his own tarot decks and books.  However, it is obvious to me that he doesn't utilize the services of a proofreader.  Every excerpt from his books and tarot deck guidebooks, and even some pages on his websites, have typos, missing words, lack of punctuation, etc.  So, just be aware that, although the artwork is lovely, and the cards look great, his printed publications may be frustrating due to so many errors.

I'd rather have spelink and gramer errors and good content than rubbish like some of the carefully proofread books that go out all the time.... I must go look at my copy.

I agree. And from what I remember, the guidebook is very good. I believe this guidebook is actually spoken of as the best one in the category of Egyptian decks. Well researched and thoroughly thought out. I think @Little Fang is the one to ask about the quality of the guidebook

if it makes a difference the Ancient Egyptian falls into my thothy category. I sold my set long ago though so can't check anything. I did use it along with 5 other thoth-centric decks for my deep study.

I did a deep dive into the Ancient Egyptian and have multiple copies of the deck, a couple of which I didn't find in my wall-to-wall inventory (grumble, grumble, grumble). Grammatical mistakes jump out at me, but I don't remember a large number of those in the guidebook. (I once wrote an author to let him know his recently published book was rife with grammatical errors. Of course he took offense until I pointed out more than 40 of them in the first couple dozen pages. Looks like a proofreader who didn't know what they were doing made mass changes, causing many of the errors, like removing the period at the end of a sentence when the next sentence started with "The".)

Rodney even did a card by card study at AT, it was very impressive and I consulted it often during my own study. Thank you again for that! I "think" you, gregory and the thoth, and bhodiseed with the tyldwick were the only ones to ever do that.

I did the Revelation as well. And a few others completed. CreativeFire, for one; her deck came out of her study. We sort of started it here, but it fell over. (I will not do another - two is enough !)

Old Charlie was trying to bum a smoke and mooch a beer. "XI Force is Mercury. VIII Justice is Cancer," he declared. "That's why you always start counting at one." So I bought him a beer and shared a smoke, but asked, "What about The Fool?"

Actually blowing smoke in my my face, he blurted out, "Sans nom! Sans nom! Le Mat is 22. Saturn baby. Saturn."

If he hadn't been an ancient egyptian, I never would've believed him.

I’m sorry but I don’t get what you just wrote. Is it in any way related to the topic of how the ancient tarot by Clive Barrett is being reprinted?
