Hello, I am new to this website and tarot in general. I've been trying to learn tarot(mostly for personal reading) last couple months. I had a deck which was not mine previously(belonged to my mother as far as i know, which she barely used and the deck has been gathering dust in my room in the last 10 years.) and i thought it would be okay to start with this deck to learn basics. So i started reading tarot for myself and i didn't seem to have any issues with picking cards and reading them(even though i use internet and books for meanings most of the time :)). But today something odd happened, something i overlooked all these months. I found two copies of same card in my deck, so i've been reading with 79 cards all this time. I am not sure if this is the right forum topic to write under but i have couple questions about it. Does the duplicate card mean anything at all?(it is seven of wands) And how does this affect my previous readings?

It doesn't affect them at all. The powers that govern tarot will have made sure it didn't. Take it out from now on, just to make yourself more comfortable - but - have you EVER drawn both in the same reading ? I am guessing not. Kind of says it all. Something made sure you didn't.

What does it mean ? Someone in a printers or somewhere made a mistake, and someone else out there is cursing that they have no 7 wands. That's it.

i saw the same card twice when i was reordering my deck. And no i've never drawn both of them in a reading. Thank you for your comment it was very helpful.

but no card missing? That does happen. No superstition attached to either but it is maddening when it's an old deck and you can't get a replacement card!

edited to add welcome to the board!

I had been playing Scrabble for over a decade with a set that had an extra "E" in it but never realized it.  I never paid attention to how many of certain letters were on the board.  I only found out when a man I was dating (a math genius who could probably be a card counter at casinos) noticed it the very first time we played together.  He then stopped the game to count all my letters, and after that I had to take out one "E" before we played.  Does that invalidate every Scrabble game I ever won before that?  Nah.  What does it mean?  Somebody made a mistake when they packaged my game at the factory - that's all.
