The asymmetric multi-language borders nearly spoiled this deck for me - fortunately, Lo Scarabeo doesn't do these borders anymore. I trimmed the deck, and it came to life (although of course the cardbacks didn't like it). There are definitely better historical reproductions of important decks than this one, but the cards are charming, with elegant, flowing lines, and easy to read with. The minors are rendered in three dimensional depictions that make them more approachable than other pip decks. It's possible that this deck influenced some of Robert Place's choices for his decks; the Moon in the Alchemical Tarot and Hanged Man in the Tarot of Saints have some similarities with Vacchetta's cards.

If you want to read with a pre-RWS deck, this deck is a good choice.
