Patrick Valenza's incredible imagination cooked up this colourful, lucid dream of an Oracle deck. The deck came from Patrick's plan to create one card after his daily nap, which he had to fully colour and complete within one hour or "the universe would turn to cheese" (his words).

The deck is slightly more lighthearted than some of Patrick's decks, but don't be fooled - Like all of his offerings, this one reads deep and plunges right into the heart of any matter. Along with some of the more beautiful images shared here, there is a good dose of horror (man eating plants, mutant creatures) and humour (a farting lion).

There are some really cool themes in this deck. In general, you are entering the "Garden of Lucid Daydreams", and all the inhabitants of that garden are represented in the cards. There are four muses representing each season, and about a quarter of the deck is contributed to each season.

If you love his other work, buy it! If you want to get into his work, but are a little scared, this might be an entryway, but it's still got a fair amount of darkness, so I wouldn't recommend it for people who prefer more positive decks.

I think Deviant Moon Inc. (i.e. Patrick Valenza) has really found something special with these Oracle decks. Along with the Abandoned Oracle and the two Mildred Payne decks, there is just so much imagination found here, and an incredible depth and flexibility of reading.
