That's how I do it too, especially in decks that I can't riffle either due to size or cardstock. Sometimes I'll take the deck and put all cards upright, and then shuffle it again to get reversals. Not before every reading, or course, but when I feel that… the deck needs it? I feel like this 'resets' the deck somehow. Not sure if it makes any sense though

Yes please, let me know! I'm super curious about this deck but I'm trying to avoid impulsive purchases, so a trusted recommendation would be very helpful! 🙏

Hi everyone! A question for those of you who use playing cards, regardless of the method or system that you use: do you consider the people/court cards to represent only individuals? Or have they, in your experience, also represented situations? I ask this because recently I did a reading involving the K♦️ and the J♦️, and I couldn’t really recognise them as people in the events that followed. However, there were situations involving money that could have been represented by them… news about unexpected money (which made me think about the J♦️) and then help from a man through the donation a larger sum (making me think of the K♦️). The K♦️, of course, could represent the man who helped, but the J♦️ never really connected to any individual. Does this make any sense? Thanks!

Today I received this package of Terra Volatile. There hasn't been written much about this deck here on the forum, but it seems to have a huge following worldwide, and seems interesting. Deck: Terra Volatile Deck: The Rider Tarot Deck, 1909 RWS Tarot - The Sawyer Redux Edition, and Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot Deck This Thoth deck is a second-hand deck. Box missing, otherwise good condition. Based on the printer's key and ISBN, this is the 3rd printing of this specific edition revision, published March 1, 1991, which is consistent with the seller's statement that the deck was purchased in San Francisco in the late 1990s. Decks ordered: - Alchemical Tarot Reimagined - Deleted World Tarot - The Golden Dawn Tarot - The Marigold Tarot - The Tarot of the Origins (OOP) - Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery - Tarot of the Sweet Twilight - The Magical Tarot of the Golden Dawn - The Whisper of Stars and Garden Tarot Comments about some of these decks: The Deleted World Tarot: I didn't know about this deck, but suddenly I see it everywhere in the "Deck to Check" areas here at TT&M. So thanks for your contribution there, @Rose Lalonde. Eventually I couldn't resist ordering, this deck was to good to be forgotten, although shipping and import costs to my country cost more than the deck itself 😅😭 As for The Whisper of Stars and Garden Tarot, I have no idea why I ordered this one. The style is quite far from what I like, but I probably saw a YT video and was fascinated for a moment, probably mostly because there are very few decks left. But sometimes it's a bit nice to try to expand your own horizons I think. Tarot of the Sweet Twilight is a bit of a guilty pleasure. Actually far from what I like, but still there is something fascinating about this deck. So I ordered it while it is still available.

I agree. As a general rule, the Lord and Lady will represent a man and a woman respectively. There are, however, circumstances in which the cards are not signifying a particular man or woman but a wider body of people. For example, if a woman enquires about the outcome of a job interview, the Lord might represent the interview panel itself. Such a panel could be composed of both men and women, yet be treated as a single entity within the reading. In my experience, this tends to occur when the card is representing people collectively rather than a single individual. The card retains its role as a principal significator, but instead of identifying one distinct person it comes to symbolise a group, institution, authority or decision-making body.

There was recently a video by Donna Leigh on that subject. She mentions another aspect regarding the person cards (”a different influence independent of gender”). Just because we're at it.

Hi @Celine I am a bit late and I think everyone has offered great advice. This is just my observation. Firstly, if you have included yourself within the scope of the question, the Lady would ordinarily be read as signifying you. The Bear, however, should not automatically be assumed to represent a particular individual. Its identity depends entirely upon the context of the reading and the surrounding cards. Where it does represent a person, the Bear is characteristically someone who occupies a position of greater authority, seniority, influence or status than the querent. By contrast, the Hound generally signifies someone who is of equal standing or subordinate to the querent. Secondly, the Lord and the Lady are the two principal significators in the deck and will invariably identify the primary parties involved in the matter under consideration. In the majority of readings, one of these cards will therefore represent the querent, as they are usually the central figure in the question being asked. That said, there are exceptions. On occasion, the querent is not the principal subject of the enquiry. For example, if a client asks about her daughter's prospective marriage, the daughter may properly receive the Lady card, as she is the chief person involved in the matter. The allocation of significators should always follow the focus of the question rather than be determined by rigid formula. For this reason, it is generally advisable to decide upon the significators before the cards are dealt. Establishing who the Lord and Lady etc represent at the outset provides clarity and consistency, helping to avoid confusion later in the interpretation. Once the cards are on the table, the reader can then concentrate on analysing the relationships and developments shown within the spread, rather than debating whom the principal person cards ought to signify.

Stella’s an amazing. One of the best Lenormand and Tarot readers going. My second teacher favoured the Red and Blue Owl deck. In that pattern both the Fox and Serpent face right so when you saw Fox - Serpent the snake is biting the Fox’s heels. Fox - Serpent indicates treachery or an untrustworthy woman. The Serpent is the description. The reverse is true with Serpent - Fox because the Fox is descriptive. Andy B.

I've just purchased the pocket sized edition. I'll let you know. I originally had a beautifully photographed shamanic oracle deck (OOP) - that I never used, and eventually gave away to a friend who is half Native American. It made more sense to me for her to have it. So...this will kind of be replacing that for me.

I'm in this week with the World Spirit Tarot paired with the Mystic Glyphs Oracle - thank you Fire cat! Life changes in the instant. The ordinary instant. ― Joan Didion Looks like I better hustle my bustle today, as some potential activities or opportunities are about to land on my doorstep. As that eye on one of the wands indicates, today is not a day for lolling about but for paying attention. I'm on my first cup of coffee and have not yet washed the grumpy sleepiness out of my system. It would be easy to complain about all I have to do today without adding extra on my plate. Turkey shows up - a symbol of abundance, community, and gratitude - to remind me that such opportunities are gifts. There's no need to impute the day with assumptions of what a chore it will be when I've barely lived much of it yet. Plus, as Didion points out, things can change quickly, and this particular gift may not arrive again.
