I wanted to share here a spread that I found useful because it's... short and to the point, and doesn't focus only on romantic relationships. It was taken from the companion book of Kim Krans' Wild Unknown Animal Spirit oracle, but I have used it with other oracles as well! .....4..... 1...5...2 .....3..... 1. You 2. The other person 3. The shadow dynamic 4. The illuminated dynamic 5. Advice Personally (this is not in the book), I choose to interpret the shadow dynamic as that which is lacking or not developing naturally and the illuminated dynamic as that which flows naturally in the relationship. But I also think the shadow dynamic and represent an unconscious dynamic between the people involved, while the illuminate dynamic can represent the visible/obvious dynamic. You will have to try and see what works best for you.

This arrived 2 days ago from Italy, and I am in LOVE: Pixie's Marseille Tarot by Alejandro A Rozan.
  4. Tanga
Oh dear, such a shame to read about what's-his-name. Such things however - tend not to influence the tools I use. So... I can't wait for the deck to arrive now 😁

  6. Raggydoll
It looks that way! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it once you’ve seen the show!
  7. geoxena
Cool, thanks for that! I may just need to wait a little bit before it shows up there.
  8. Raggydoll
Oh wait, apparently it will be available through Britbox in the US. I couldn’t access the whole article so I don’t know when, but hopefully it’s soon
  9. Raggydoll
I asked google and it said Clapperboard and Studio TF1. No idea if that’s helpful at all 😅. Maybe it’s harder to get hold of outside of Europe? I do hope someone will chime in with a solution for you!
  10. geoxena
I looked for this series on BritBox but, alas, it's not available there yet. At least not via the Roku website. Do any of you know who produces it? Maybe it's available a different way for people in the US.
  11. Tanga
Aye - he comes from Manchy-Land 🙃. I've not watched him before (no Down Town Abbey). Well... something to look foreward to in 2027!

Well, I found a review from someone who apparently had the first one, and she said it was by this guy, who has a LOT to choose from: https://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/the-tarot-lounge I dunno. If you want to know the BEST one, and @truelighth is still here, she can tell you for SURE !

It might be based on the same scans, but the deck in the first link had different proportions on the borders plus slightly darker images. This linen version has more narrow borders and brighter colors. I don't know if the linen version is going to look over exposed, but I do feel like the cropping is nicer on that one. And what is not to love about linen cardstock...

This all came about a few years back when I asked about the most accurate PAM A facsimile available. The 1909 Art Restoration Deck (Roses and Lillies, not PAM A) and the MPC Study Deck (PAM A) were recommended as the most accurate recreations. There are all sorts of YouTube Videos which make various comparisons so both decks seem to be a thing. I have the 1909 recreation deck but the Study Deck was no longer available when I went to look for it. The current one reappeared about a year ago but I wondered if it has the same accuracy (in recreation terms) as the one in all the videos

To be honest - I'm not sure that Study Deck is that special, that different from the others that look just like it on MPC. It seems to be just a scanned Pam A.

The Jack, when not a younger person (I say person, because they are not 100% male or 100% female to me), can represent some form of news, a message. In your case, that was a message of money, which is a valid meaning of the Knave of Diamonds. When a Jack falls next to a King or Queen of its own suit, if it's a person, it would be a child in a family unit or a subordinate to the King or Queen if not related. If it's not a person but still next to these Court cards, then it's often read as the thoughts of the King or Queen. For me, the King is always a man, and the Queen a woman. However, the method I mainly follow (Hedgewytchery) stated that Kings can also represent power (financial power in the case of the King of Diamonds), and Queens are the emblems of truth. However, I have more often seen the Court cards (especially the King and Queen) come through as literal people, so that's what I always read them as (it's like having the Lord or Lady cards in Lenormand appear in the spread; they are nothing but literal people. Same with playing cards; the Courts are the actors, and I have the pips to describe the situation to me). If I can't identify them, maybe I haven't met them yet or they are exerting an indirect influence over the situation at hand. In a tableau using all the 52 cards, for example, you are more directly connected with the Court cards that fall on the same horizontal or vertical line of your Significator, or connect to it through methods such as counting; so you would have an easier time identifying them in real life. I think of those falling in the diagonal lines (in relation to your Significator) as "individuals just around the corner"; you can't see them directly, may not even bump into them. But if they fall near your Significator, then they are a significant influence.

And where does Dave fit ?

Ooh I’m loving the description of season two - the rich local folklore will continue on as a theme! 😍 (From Gregory’s link) “The second series will see the duo continue to investigate a succession of unsettling murder cases. Building on the unique bond forged during the first series, Ben and Diane will tackle cases rooted in the rich folklore of the region, all while contending with their clashing investigative approaches and confronting their complicated personal lives”.

And I’m a fan of Rob James-Collier. Aside from his brilliant Downton Abby performance, I also saw him in a fantasy series on Netflix. The man has a very versatile talent! And I love his accent!

I was delighted to see a few actors from BBC series that have fallen over. Not least Sarah Moyle who was in Doctors for years. A show that should have continued, so great to see her still working. Next series will air in 2027, it seems. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/newsliverpool/detective-series-cooper-fry-in-major-update-as-new-cast-announced/ar-AA27SE7G

Considering all the woo woo topics that this series touched upon, I think we have a lot of leeway in our discussions 😁 This explains so much. Your stellar sense of humor, among other things 😁 Very fascinating stuff!

Oh NO! we're digressing again! Do you know - a psychic once told me that I actually come from the Pleiades? (a rather cute club shaped constellation that I often look for when I'm star gazing). And... who says the Sidhe aren't aliens? 🤣 "The Pleiades is a stunning, young open star cluster in the Taurus constellation, located roughly 440 light-years away. Known as the "Seven Sisters", it contains over 1,000 stars and is easily visible to the naked eye as a tight, misty dipper shape in the winter night sky".

    Mind blowing! Amazing cultural heritage!

Oh WOW! and I hadn't realised we actually have 1300 circles on this Island. What a thought really... If you can't count them - them ladies are definitely having a laugh with you 🙃

🤣 I can already "hear" my guides laughing with cheeky twinkles in their eyes.
