    Started by ChaliceFlame,

Hi, yโ€™all. I bought my first tarot deck about 22 years ago (that hurt to type, LOL), and fell in love with reading the cards. For a time, I was active in a local group that met monthly, and even had a deck collection going, although Iโ€™ve since pared down that collection to my favorites. I havenโ€™t been as good about consistently doing readings the last few years, so Iโ€™m trying to get back into the habit of at least pulling a COTD, to keep my practice going. Iโ€™ve mostly only read for myself. I appreciate tarot as a mindfulness exercise, a meditative moment for reflection and insight that I think is so good for mental health. My goals are to study the symbolism of …

    Started by Eugenie,

Hi, my name is Eugenie, I might be the only one here from Uzbekistan. It is in Central Asia, next to Afghanistan, and it used to be a part of the Soviet Union. My mother tongue is Russian so please forgive me if my English is clumsy sometimes or if I misunderstand something. A completely newbie to Tarot, I would like to learn both RWS and TdM. Presently trying to read several books at once, maybe not the best idea. I live with my husband, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, three cats and lots of chickens and many trees. I am a Fayerie Traditionalist learning how to apply the Old Ways to modern life.

Hi guys. I'm new here... er... and not very good at introductions. I'm a computer programmer from the UK. I don't use Tarot (although I own a few decks for the artwork alone) but I am fond of using the Lenormand Deck, specifically for inspirational purposes rather than cartomancy. Currently experimenting with its use in writing stories and pretty happy with the results. I also dabble in jewellery, woodwork, turnery, pen-making and occasional very amateur luthiery, as well as 3D art, 3D printing and photography. I have too many hobbies.

I'm glad to have found this group, I used to be very active on AT and reviewed many tarot decks. I'm interested in learning how to read Oracle cards and discuss tarot decks. I'm hoping by studying these card systems that I can fulfill some spiritual need in my life. I am also a card collector.

Hi all, New here to tarot tea and me. I have been studying tarot since 2013. My first deck was Barbara G Walker tarot. It is my go to deck ever since. However over the years I have been studying older decks, ie, TDM, Rider Waite Smith and Visconti Sforza etc. I particularly like the renaissance period. I am keen to learn and study more tarot spreads and meet people who enjoy sharing tarot stories and knowledge. Slan for now Tricone On the Wild Atlantic Way Ireland

Hi everyone, I had a tarot reading done yesterday by a lady Iโ€™ve been having regular readings from for the past 2 years. My most recent reading has left me terrified that my dad is about to die suddenly from illness or an accident. I asked for the reading to focus on health and it came out with the king of cups, the chariot and the tower in the same spread. The lady said we were about to face sudden endings to do with a cancerian man. Iโ€™ve felt sick ever since with worry. could this be interpreted in any other way? thanks

Ive been looking for a place or a community of like mind people. We never stop learning and I truly enjoy being in the company of such people even online. I want to help others as well as learn. I've read tarot for 15 years and I'm still learning things. I'm learning astrology currently. I prefer Vedic astrology as it's very very accurate but I'm learning western for now and I truly believe it increases the quality of readings and helps when I get stuck on something. I've used the same cards for 15 years. Ive always wanted to try those Intuitive decks with beautiful images. Animals or angels however they come in not too familiar but always thought about those. Anyway I am…

  14. Woland
    Started by Woland,

Hallo! I'm Woland, I'm new here but was a lurker on Aeclectic back in the day, and am looking forward to getting back into community. My grandmother taught me to read playing cards when I was in primary school, and I learnt tarot from my aunty not long later, but I've never made a living from it or anything like that. My favourite deck is the Thomson Leng, which has been my go-to reading deck since 2002. Lately I've taken to collecting old decks, and to start to teach myself how to read Kipperkarten and Zigeunerwahrsagekarten and similar systems, after I picked up a really strange 32-card German deck that I'm trying to find out more ab…

I'm new to the forum. I've been on a tarot break for a few years and I'm just starting to get back into using cards again. So many beautiful decks have been created in my absence. I used to be a member of aeclectic tarot forum for quite a few years, so was sad to see it no longer exists. This is how I found this forum. Anyway, I'm looking forward to joining reading circles again and talking tarot with like minded people!.

Hello - my name is Alex and I am new to the forum. I signed on because I use tarot quite a lot in my personal life and I want to grow my practice! I would love to grow my reading abilities for others as, for the past few years I have just focused on reading for myself and family/friends. I am anxious about letting this side of my life go into the public eye; not for fear of what people would think - but because I feel unprepared. I hope getting in touch with others in the tarot community will help me gain confidence and learn new things!

I was gifted my first deck in 2018 & I've collected a few more decks since but I've only practiced with them a handful of times. My desire to learn tarot is strong & I'm ready to dedicate myself to developing my practice - that's why I'm here! Thank you for letting me join this community & I'm thrilled to get to know all of you!

Greetings and thanks for creating this space. I have read Tarot for about 30 years. It all started as a personal spiritual growth tool. My relationship with the tarot blossomed into giving readings to others. One of the greatest compliments I have received is that I have people that still come to me for readings after 30 years. What a blessing. lj, Ravengayle

Hello, all! I am new to the forum and new to this internet world of tarot. I started practicing in my late teens almost two decades ago, when we mostly learnt with family or by second hand books. There were good blogs here and there but not today's scene of YouTube and (I hear) TikTok channels. Anyway, I came back to this amazing world after a calling that I have been avoiding for the last year. I was never a skeptic, but avoided Tarot for many years due to many pseudo-religious superstitions that made me believe this was a forbidden fruit. Anyway, I am back after an appointment with a good tarot reader and it was such an amazing experience, it was almost like I was doing…
