Hey, I am me. Started learning tarot 3 months ago. Got a RWS I'm learning with. I have ordered the Dreams of Gaia tarot which I'm eagerly waiting to arrive. I live in Romanian nature, aiming to be self-sufficient. I find it highly important to expose the lies we've been spoon-fed since the day we are born into this weird and mystical realm. The tarot is helping me access my subconscious more directly and dynamically than I knew was possible. It's also really helping me with writing. So that's me. I really want more practice reading for real people so if anyone wants to exchange readings as I understand is allowed here, then please let me know, I'm eager …

Hi all! I'm AlmostSilent (but my friends call me Meg). As it says in the title, I am from England and am very much a novice. I've been interested in tarot for a very long time but only recently got my first deck. I am ready to start this journey and open to any advice.

Hello, I'm Theo, and it's lovely to meet you all. I hope the holiday season has been kind to you all. I've been interested in cartomancy for three years. I had a Rider-Waite when I was a teen, but I was more interested in trickster deities, and it took over a decade before I appreciated cartomancy. I now practice with two Rider-Waite based decks, and my own 80 card oracle/tarot deck, based on the principles of chaos and Plato's geometry of the universe. My question relates to that: how many people here have developed their own deck, or wanted to? What would/do your decks include? Thank you in advance for your answers, I look forward to hearing…

Some friendly folks have kindly directed me here, to properly introduce myself. Once upon a time I was Fulgour Prentice, which was a poor attempt at an elaborate pun. Fulgour (brilliant) Prentice (student) as in Sophomore, or Wise Fool. Much time has passed since then. I'm 67 years old now, surviving major surgery in 2016 which didn't quite take, so then another in 2017. My father, the greatest influence and truest friend in my life, passed away whilst I was in hospital for that second bit, and when last we spoke, on the phone, we laughed and casually shared each our news, though I was a hundred miles away. His passing was peaceful, and the hospital made it possible for m…

Hello, hello! I joined sometime last year and then everything slipped my mind. I had been a lurker and occasional poster over on Aeclectic, may she rest in peace, for years and years. I went by moon but really I hardly ever participated, though I did learn so much just from reading. I'm 37 now though I got my first tarot deck when I was, hm, 12 or so. I don't think I made much progress as far as actually reading the damn cards until the last 10 years or so. Have been mostly a RWS gal and it's served me well, but have been lured into Thoth, correspondences, etc. thanks to the works of T. Susan Chang and Mel Meleen and their wonderful Fortune's Wheelhouse podcast. I have ba…

Hey everyone. I’ve been collecting tarot decks for about 12 years. I’m not sure how many decks I have but it is probably around 100, which I know either sounds really high or really low depending on how into collecting you are. For reading I usually just use my 1970s RWS but I love, love art and exploring how it can be expressed through tarot it is so fascinating comparing decks and having tiny pieces of art which is why collecting appeals to me. I try to cull my collection every once in a while otherwise I’m sure I’d have more there are so many beautiful decks out there now! So I spent a good decade around aeclectic off and on, mostly lurking but sometimes talking tarot.…

Hi all! Yep! I followed you all here. In case someone doesn't know me very well (a distinct possibility), a short introduction would be in order. I started learning Tarot back about 1991 to 1992. With the exception of a few hiatuses (some longer, some shorter), I've been studying and reading with the Tarot ever since. My first deck (and always a favorite) is the RWS, but I have a small collection of 42 decks now. I also used the nickname of Trogon on Aeclectic Tarot, so you might remember me. I had discovered the A.T. Forums in 2002 and have been there ever since (also with a few hiatuses). This looks like a very well-thought out Forum as well. I'm hopeful this will ta…

Though I had not been active on AT for a few of years, that was my Tarot home since before it was even a subscriber site! and though I did not post (I was on a Tarot sabbatical lol) I would periodically check in. Last July I got back into tarot full swing but as we all know that is when AT closed. I have been looking for a new Tarot community ever since, and seeing as there are former AT members here I believe I have arrived at the right place :D. I have been involved with Tarot since the mid 80's, collecting decks, journaling, using tarot for self exploration, studying tarot (love tarot work books and study groups), reading for friends, sharing what I know about tar…

Hi there, I’m a 38-year-old from the Netherlands with a strong interest in tarot, which I developed through my passion for the arts and poetry. I see tarot as a valuable tool for self-reflection and introspection, with the cards serving as a mirror to the mind. I view the spiritual and psychological aspects of tarot as complementary rather than exclusive. I approach tarot analytically, focusing on the details and meanings of the cards, though I’m still relatively inexperienced. The Hermetic Tarot is my favorite for its deep symbolism and poetic qualities. Looking forward to connecting with others and discussing tarot.

Greetings. :) I have been a member of AT since 2005. I will sincerely miss the place. But I also understand that the Wheel turns and things change. It's difficult though, to be sure. This forum certainly helps soften the blow. I pulled a card from the WISDOM OF THE ORACLE deck shortly after learning about the AT shutdown and the card that I pulled was "Neverending Story." I think that's how I will continue to think of AT, as a story that hasn't ended yet, a story that continues to unfold. Very brief intro about me: I began reading Tarot in 1991 when I was 16 years old. It stuck and I've been reading ever since. I read mostly for myself but also for friends …

Hi everyone, It has been on again off again with me and cards, even gave them away as mainly due to feeling guilty ( ex Sunday school teacher from way back.) This time though going with what feels right,it's never too late to learn, and not looking back. Love my new Akashic Tarot Cards, although very different, and old Daily Angel Oracle ones. Reiki Master 30 years, Mum of 5, grandmother of 8. Self Sufficient Gardener forever, and retired. Looking forward to "meeting" like minded people, which is what I really need.

Hi all. I hate coming up with things to say in introductory posts so hurray to whoever came up the template. -Name: Anomaly Tempest -Pronouns: I'm a she but don't care about pronouns. I've been called sir before and lived. :P -Do you read Tarot or other Card systems?: Tarot. Mostly RWS style. I don't own Thoth, TdM or other types of decks yet. -How long have you been reading if so?: I was given a Tarot deck several years ago but only have only been really studying them for about two years now. I mostly read for myself but give readings to family members from time to time. -Where did you find Tarot, Tea, & Me?: It was either the ATA mailing list or…

Hi everyone, I just found this forum *yay* after having done some search for one of my favorite decks (Shadowscapes Tarot). I'm a 'baby witch' and only discovered Tarot a few months ago (together with Oracle cards) but am already head over heels in love! <3 My collection quickly grew and I now try to learn Tarot & Oracle reading with all of them. Still not quite sure if I should just focus on one or two decks one at a time? (I know, it's suggested to start with the Major Arcana cards first, which I try to do with all my decks right now, even though I'll admit, I'm impatient and want to 'meet' all of the cards.) My efforts of journaling are a bit all over the…

Hello Everyone, I'm Nishe. A born and bread Melbournian with Italian roots from a long line of healers. Although I've been reading Oracle cards (and now tarot) since I was around 14, it's been a journey to be honest with more people about my unconventional beliefs and practices. Here I hope to meet other like-minded individuals I can totally geek out with and learn from. I also hope to meet people who can offer guidence on kick-starting my tarot business and reach more people looking for guidance, insight and understanding. Hope everyone has been well and keeping safe ❤️
