Hey all, New here, though I would introduce myself. I'm Chaos. I've been a professional card slinger for over 20 years, and also a bit of an alchemist. Im from Canada, and when people meet me they always think I'm some sort of wild child, but truthfully, I lead a pretty mundane life. I'm not complaining, I like my life this way, im just describing it as what others would think. I have no idea where people get the idea that I'm wild lol I dunno, I'm just rambling now. Hello all, my name is Rick, I'm retired and would like to try and learn more about Tarot and the readings. But first I'd like to find a good book and a quality set of cards. Most I've seen have poor reviews, and are cheap, thin, mass produced. Does anyone know of a good set commercially available please? I hope you don't mind a man in your midst, but at 70, I'm reading more, and slowing down some due to health. I look forward to learn all about the readings as I can. Thanks all Rick, UK.

My online name is Shade, and I live in Luxembourg... yep, that small country in Europe between France, Belgium and Germany ;) After 7 years of fighting with tarot, I finally got the hint that worked for me: Stop reading the books, start reading the cards. Hi all! Since my 1st deck when I was 12 I have struggled to learn to read the tarot. For some reason it’s never quite clicked in my brain. That’s probably because my dedication to it always flags due to time constraints or other things getting in the way and stealing my attention. I love the cards though and even if I can’t read them in a way I consider proper I still collect them. I still have that first deck from when I was 12 called the Hoi Poi. Hello all, I am quite new to tarot and similar cards. As a pre-teen, I was super interested in things that I guess one could label as "new age." My middle school library had a metaphysics section, and I often spent my library time reading about astral projection and other topics. However, as I got older, I began to think of these things as silly at best and the work of Satan at worst (mainly due to the influence of Christian friends). Slowly through my 20s, I abandoned my Christian faith and now find myself in somewhat of a spiritual wasteland. Hello everyone, I am very pleased to have found this forum. To tell you a little about me, my name is Sarah, I'm 39 . I am a beginner and have felt pretty overwhelmed at times. I first found tarot many years ago when I was 15. However, I never really took it seriously. Fast forward to April 2020 and I felt drawn to tarot again. I brought myself the modern witch tarot and a few tarot books which is growing. I live in Oklahoma in the U.S. with four Siamese mix cats named Kitten, Cosette, Ombre, and Vesta. I just wanted to say hi and do a 'quick' (we shall see about that ;D) introduction. I started to take an interest in cartomancy at the age of twelve and used regular playing cards until a relative of mine gifted me my very first tarot deck at the age of 14. It was a majors only deck that did not resonate so well with me, but fortunately that only made me more motivated to find a deck that would work for me. It took me quite some time to save enough money to buy a deck, and it also took some searching to find one (this was back in the nineties, pre-internet, in a Scandinavian country where tarot cards was not so common). I used to hang out every now and then on AT, but due to my health and communication issues (I'm on the autism spectrum) I tend to vanish for weeks or month at a time. For the last 20 years or so, for several reasons within family, I lost my contact to my roots. The older I get, and I'm close to 50 now, I'm reconnecting with magic and tarot and about everything spiritual. Don't know if I'll post a lot, but I'll definitely read much more than I comment on.
