I am new here I have been reading tarot since 2006 off and on. I have just found this site through a tarot reddit I follow. I have several decks. My first deck was the New Palladini deck. I still have it after many years. It is worn out, but still love it.

Hi all! This is my first tarot forum, though I am not a young person, nor am I new to tarot. I'm 47 years old and started my spiritual journey from around 12/13 years old when my mum gave me a rune set for my birthday. It wasn't long after that I acquired my first deck, a Rider Waite.....that was the early 90s and there was no internet and no magazines available about occult stuff. I learned what I could from the scant collection of tarot books at the one occult bookstore in my whole state (Western Australia). I wish there had been resources then like there are now. Gosh I was gone for a long time... I can tell some crazy story about the last couple years... But I bet we all could. I'm still making my cards. In the 2 years I've laid out at least 9 or 10 decks of cards all together. Three of them tarot decks no less. I lost my awesome computer to one of my daughters during the quarantine, she had to do schooling from home. So I had to shift everything to traditional media. It's been a couple (or a few) years since I was last here, so I figured reintroduction is in order. I've been busily blogging away on my divination blog since 2017 after Aeclectic Tarot folded (I have over 2,300 divination-related posts now), and recently wrote an essay bemoaning the fact that Aeclectic has never been convincingly replicated. I decided to come back and see if you can make a liar out of me. I see a few familiar names here, which is encouraging. Now you'll have to endure my relentless commentary again for a while (I'm just glad I didn't have to redo my login credentials).

I make handmade paper and books, mostly on esoteric philosophy. I found this site searching for The Book of Aradia, by Jean Van Slyke. Hi everyone! I'm Setjezusenu (they/them). I've been aware of Tarot for a long time, and I got my first deck when I was a kid - younger than 13, but I don't know how old I was specifically. I'm autistic and pagan/new age stuff was a big special interest of mine as a kid. My first deck was the DruidCraft Tarot, and I also had the Mermaids and Dolphins oracle deck. I was a kid, so the complexities of the tarot deck eluded me somewhat, but I enjoyed them anyway. Hi, I'm Jenett. I actually don't remember when I started reading Tarot, but it was sometime around 1995. I used to lurk around the AT forums (I can't remember if I ever posted), and I've been missing a place to have great Tarot-focused discussion. Besides Tarot, I'm a priestess and witch in a small initiatory religious witchcraft tradition. Under a pen name I write romance novels set in the 1920s with magic. For one of them, I ended up having to construct what that community would use for a Tarot deck which sent me back to reading a bunch of Tarot history and looking at older decks and symbology. I'd forgotten how fun that was!

New to tarot, new to the forum. I've owned my deck for a long time, took it out on occasion, but it never really clicked until recently. Suddenly the cards answer the questions in a way that makes sense - either i wasn't open to it before or didn't grasp the concept. I still use the LWB but I'm starting to recognize patterns... Anyway, this looks like a good place to learn and hang out, so looking forward to getting to know you all.
