  1. Althara
    Started by Althara,

Hello! The name I go by is Chey, though Althara is my chosen name. I am new to Tarot and am in the process of learning how to embrace my intuition and natural gift of reading Tarot. I am a strong Empathy, I connect to emotion extremely well which is why when doing Tarot I prefer giving readings on matters of emotion like Love, mental health, difficult life situations etc. I started Tarot on something like a whim. I have always been into matters of divination, Cartomancy, witchcraft and such.Tarot in particular always caught my eye though I never quite fully got into it. I was in a bookstore that had a seftio on new age/witchcraft type things. They had a nice selection …

  3. Sace
    Started by Sace,

Hi, I am an oldish woman (in my mind....) who is incredibly new to tarot. I had a Rider deck over 35 years ago (before I was even a teen.) I purchased it at Waldenbooks (I believe), piddled with it for a week and it's now lost to the sands of time. Fast forward to early June 2020 and here I am again wanting to learn Tarot. I feel like I need to get back in touch with the universe. Technology has distracted me for too many years now. I want to hone my intuition. I want to know more about who I am and what my place/part is in the universe. I really want to learn for me. Not to read for anyone else. Is that legitimate? I realize I have a tendency to try and do everyt…

    Started by burningtarot,

Hi there, I'm T and I've been reading Tarot a little over 30 years. I live in the woods of Oregon, where I roam the pines and lava fields, rock formations and creeks. For a day job, I'm a freelance writer, editor, artist, and occasionally adjunct faculty at a college. I have a tiny podcast called Burning Tarot and created several decks and art projects by that same name. So, hi! I'm really looking forward to connecting with other readers and Tarot nerds. I quit social media about three years ago due to the unethical business practices of the technology companies involved (and hey, also for the sake of my sanity)... so I'm not connected to Instagram witches and…

    Started by Siri5,

Hi everyone! Just thought I’d introduce myself. My name is Siri. I read tarot, mainly for myself, as a form of self-analysis, and have done for about a year now. I have read some books on it and also research online if I get stuck with a reading, and I’ve learned a lot that way, but I thinking will be helpful to be part of a community in order to learn more.

  9. Kraley
    Started by Kraley,

My name is Joshua. I've been interested in tarot for quite some time, although I have to admit I started out a skeptic. My mom believed strongly in psychics and spirituality, and I slowly turned onto the bandwagon after her. I was extraordinarily close to her, although she passed away a few years back. I've been able to tap into this energy as of late - I believe I heard the phrase "getting out of your own way" when it comes to this and that feels pretty accurate. I just sort of "know" things, things will come to me if I let them and clear my mind out. In actuality, this is something i've experienced for a long time. The first time I had this... Was actuall…

    Started by Smashed999333,

Hello! My name is Ashley and I live in Nevada. I’ve been interested in Tarot for about 6 years now after I had a reading done by a friend. It really resonated with me and so I decided to pursue it further. I was gifted a beautiful crystal deck by a friend a few years back for my birthday. I am an avid rock hound and crystal collector so this deck suits me well. Since receiving this deck I have done some readings for friends and will pull cards for myself when I need some guidance and/or clarification. Im excited to be joining this community of like minded humans. Thank you for reading. Ash ♍️

  14. Lyneria
    Started by Lyneria,

Hello everyone, I'm Lyneria, though you may call me Lyn. I have always been interested in tarot and started reading for meself a couple of years ago, just casually. Last year I started reading for coworkers and found it to be a lot of fun and a great way to see how much I've learned. Lately, I've been feeling a pull towards the cards. I've debated for a while about joining the community (shy haha) and decided to dive in. The nearest town is an hour away, so it is hard to meet like-minded people. I look forward to getting better acquainted with everyone and going on this tarot journey. Good Joy,

Hey there, I’m a bloody beginner at reading tarot and struggling a bit for a while now. I just can’t seem to connect with my deck and trying to find out if it’s simply the deck that doesn’t fit me, if I’m blocked because of overthinking (yeah, I do that a lot 🙄) or if I just can’t meet my expectations… Or if maybe tarot isn’t the right thing for me at all... I hope I can sort this mess out here and maybe meet some people who experienced the same bumpy start 😉

    Started by euripides,

Hi everyone. I think I might have briefly had an identity here after AT closed down (I used the name of a Greek playwright there) - or more likely it was a different forum, but at any rate, I didn't stay at the time. I'd just returned to Tarot then and it was like arriving home after a long journey to find the city in flames. So, after a hiatus, here I am again. Pleased to see a few of the old crew here and looking forward to meeting new folk. I live in the Southern hemisphere. My favorite deck is the Spiral, and my collection includes the Blake, Rohrig (another favorite), Touchstone (love it so much), Housewives' (a very witty deck, underrated), Norse, Druid…

  18. Aria
    Started by Aria,

Hello, hello! My name is Aria and as you may have seen else-thread, I got drawn into this forum because I went digging through about 12 Google search pages on the Fantastic Menagerie tarot and it eventually -- after translating a surprising number of pages from German, Japanese, and Czech (really, Google??) -- brought me here. I'm 35, a Taurus, and bought my first deck when I was 15 because I really liked the art. I now have a rather large pile of them because I really like the art, and don't use them as often or as consistently as I should. I want to change that.

  20. Ahmed
    Started by Ahmed,

Hello! I'm Ahmed, here to learn and chat about tarot with you all. When it comes to tarot decks I'm a simple guy. The Rider Waite...it does the job for me. I'm always finding new ways to interpret them, gain new insights and honestly the timing has me fascinated! Lately, I'm interested how other tarot readers interpret reversed cards. For example, the 3 of Cups reversed (1 card reading) for some readers places far less emphasis on thoughts of heartbreak and perhaps more on self care and healing. How would you choose to interpret this? Thanks in advance ✌

    Started by Tom,

I'm glad to have found this group, I used to be very active on AT and reviewed many tarot decks. I'm interested in learning how to read Oracle cards and discuss tarot decks. I'm hoping by studying these card systems that I can fulfill some spiritual need in my life. I am also a card collector.

  22. gale
    Started by gale,

Hello! My name's Gale (he/they). I live in Ireland and have had a meandering journey to tarot. When I was 11, my best friend gave me a deck that her sister had given her, but she'd never used. I was obsessed with the art, but didn't do many readings until another friend taught me when I was 16. I was semi-consisent from ages 16-18 and then stopped until last year, when a friend gave me their Wild Unknown deck. I've been pulling a nightly card since then, as well as longer readings when I have the time or need. I'm enjoying interpreting the art and both learning and feeling the cards' meanings, as well as reading for friends!

  23. CappieReadsTarot
    Started by CappieReadsTarot,

Howdy, I'm CappieReadsTarot, as the name applies I am a Cappie who read tarot 😀. I've been working and practicing with tarot since the age of 18 where I started out with the art of cartomancy till I was gifted my very first tarot deck for Christmas. From there I strengthen my reading skills daily with a card pull and enjoy developing my intuition and clairvoyance skills through reading tarot. Thought I'd step outside of my comfort zone and join communities like this to be with likeminded people.

    Started by CheChe,

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum, I think...there's a possibility I've actually been here before, YEARS ago. BUT, since it was such a long time ago that I can barely remember, I'll just move forward as if I'm brand new. I used to read tarot extensively for years -I was a regular reader over at Aeclectic Tarot, before it shuttered its doors. But, I moved away from tarot reading when my meditation practice got a LOT stronger and I received most of my guidance that way. However, recently I've felt the need to bring a little extra razzle dazzle into my life, and I've taken up the cards again to dust off the cobwebs and get back into the swing of thin…

  25. Akimbo
    Started by Akimbo,

Hello everybody! I'm a novice tarot reader. I got my first deck at the beginning of July. I know this sounds weird but I feel like my deck chose me as I really didn't want to get into tarot as there seemed so much to learn and I already was getting quite deep into astrology. I was browsing a shop in the book section looking for an interesting read and I saw the English Magic Tarot and I got this feeling in my stomach like when you meet someone you know you're goin to get on so much trouble with. I tried to talk myself down from buying them and tried to walk out of the shop but found myself buying them and it's been a big adventure since. I'm here because there…
