I'm not sure how to write an introduction, but I'll try. My mother taught me tarot when I was a young girl. She gave me her first deck (a Universal Waite) when I was a teenager. It is still my favorite. Tarot has been a practice for reflection and guidance, especially when I get stuck, feel lost, or wonder about the future. I've done some readings for friends over the years, but there aren't many people in my life who share this interest. So, I look forward to sipping tea and talking tarot here. π

Hi all! I'm 19 and I'm using tarot to help guide me and exercise my intuition. I have only been doing it a year but I took a break to recoup my energy. I'm here to learn and seek or pick up advice from other readers. I love to talk and learn so I'm all ears! (Or eyes!) My biggest challenge has been connecting card meanings and combinations and going beyond using keywords/phrases. Also when the cards have obvious contradictions it's difficult to decipher. Sometimes it's hard to tell your intuition from your ego. My biggest joy has been getting things right haha, it makes me feeling like I'm getting it. Also listening to the cards and seeing how the…

Hello everybody! I'm a novice tarot reader. I got my first deck at the beginning of July. I know this sounds weird but I feel like my deck chose me as I really didn't want to get into tarot as there seemed so much to learn and I already was getting quite deep into astrology. I was browsing a shop in the book section looking for an interesting read and I saw the English Magic Tarot and I got this feeling in my stomach like when you meet someone you know you're goin to get on so much trouble with. I tried to talk myself down from buying them and tried to walk out of the shop but found myself buying them and it's been a big adventure since. I'm here because there…

Thanks for creating this site. My name is Karrma as part of its my last name and I am a Ma, a she/her person. I started learning on the Eclectic Tarot site years ago and just found this site today when doing some research. I live on land of the Coastal Salish, my heritage is Scandinavian and Eastern European, and my most recent learning is with runes and nordic ancestry and the Greenwood Tarot as its pre-celtic imagery resonates with me. Also I have been learning about solar and lunar calendars and solar-lunar calendars.

I need to network with like minded individuals who donβt want to cheapen the profession by charging very little for a less than perfect experience. Excited to interact with you.

Hi all! I originally got into reading Smith Waite back in high school some twenty odd years ago. I find myself returning to many things I enjoyed in childhood in my thirties including art, poetry, performance magic, and Magic and cartomancy along with other forms of divination. These days my focus has shifted to the Tarot de Marseille and other pip decks, including standard playing cards, though I still have and play with a number of βEnglishβ decks, including various Smith Waite and RWS influenced and Thoth decks. Though Iβm much more interested in the former than the latter, which Iβve only been reading since earlier this year. My primary method is a blend of Ben-Dovβs …

I make handmade paper and books, mostly on esoteric philosophy. I found this site searching for The Book of Aradia, by Jean Van Slyke. I have been wanting to produce an edition of this deck on handmade paper, letterpress printed, and I want to offer royalties. Does anyone know how to contact Jean Van Slyke ?

Good morning everyone I'm born Medium, with a lot of esoteric secrets in my family, I didn't accept it first because I was a child and so afraid of what I could see, hear or feel...But as i grew up i learnt about witchcraft, it came as an ancient call many time, at different time of my life, and today i totally accept it. I'm reading cards, using pendulum, creating and using ancient and modern rituals, sometimes interacting with the other world, helping homes. and I've decided to share it with the most people I can so I can help as many people as I can!

Hi everyone, I'm DDwarks. I've been offline for some time dealing with life. I very recently got my cards out again but I feel like I've fallen out of love with the tarot. I've been reading about the cards online and followed some interesting threads on other forums but the actual card reading puts me off. This forum has grown nicely since I last logged on. Congratulations! I'm hoping for some interesting to light hearted discussions amongst online friends. It's time I ventured out of my cave!

...and the Mystical Healing lady gave me a bunch of rocks she said will protect me in times of great stress and/or danger. I haven't had to hit anybody with them yet, but I really like the way she thinks. My first deck was The Rider Tarot deck in the OG yellow box from U.S. Games Systems, purchased for $10 or so on an Amazon lightning deal probably 5 or so years ago. That deck was remained in the plastic wrapper until I finally opened it last August. Around that time, I discovered an app called Labyrinthos which provided me with free learning materials and oodles of spread diagrams and the ability to input my physical readings. Fast forward to now and I've got…

Hello! Obviously, I am new :p My name is Shu (she/her) and I am a beginner reader. I've only dabbled a bit here and there over the years, but it was my mom who was dedicated to readings - though she rarely read for anyone outside our family. She passed away a few years ago, and I have always meant to take up reading as a way to honor her. I'm still looking for the right deck at the moment, but I do have some at my disposal currently. I can't bring myself to use my mom's deck, but yeah. :) Anyways. I'm here because I know Little Fang, and I was told there was a lot of amazing information here, and a lot of people with great insight. I look forward to discove…

Hello, I joined the forum yesterday. I am an absolute Tarot newbie. Last year I finally got called to the Tarot. Guess I' m finally more or less ready. I' m still trying to familiarize myself with the meanings of the classic RWS. Doesn't come easy but when something finally catches my attention I dive in deep. I hope to learn here from the forum posts. It's not my intention to learn to read the cards for others but I want to try and use the tarot as a tool for development of Self. .

Greetings from the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Ive taken the moniker OceansInside. I suppose you can call me Oceans if you like. Iβm picking up the Tarot again after a 20 year hiatus and as with many in these quarantine times Iβve found the space to dive deep. I do work from home but when Iβm not Iβve always got a deck in my hands. Currently next to me is the RWS Borderless Centennial, quite battered with splotches of gold paint after a failed modification experiment. Lol. The deck seems to have forgiven me for the defacement. My very first deck was the Daughters of the Moon given to me for my 16th birthday many moons and moons ago and a life time away. I pref…

Hi Everyone, I have been sorely missing for about 6 weeks now. Sooooooo much has happened. Quick update. I moved on June 2nd and then left for Paris June 4th. Got back on the 12th. While I was in Paris, my Kickstarter got funded! Since I have been back I have been unpacking, have done 2 art shows with my jewelry, and have been working on all the stuff you have to do when you have a successful Kickstarter. Big thanks to those of you who supported me in this. Anyway, I missed being in the loop here, but I feel like I have barely kept my head above water. I will be playing some catch up with the group over the next couple of weeks. :) <3

Hello everyone, I'm in Southern California, married, one child, 2 fur babies π¨βπ©βπ¦ πΆπ . I've had a primary job for almost 14 years and I'm also a licensed esthetician on the side. Anyhoot, I'm here because I'm really trying to hone in on my intuitive skills. I'd love to strengthen them and learn the Tarot. I have a couple Tarot and Oracle decks. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can. There's so much information out there, for a newbie like me it can get quite confusing/overwhelming. I'm still trying to figure out the jist of the forum. Nice to meet everyone.

Nice to meet you all. Iβm 32 year old, female, UK. Similar to many of you guys, Iβm introverted and socially awkward. However, I do have an intense need to connect with other people, and I would like to improve my social skills, especially when it comes to talking to authority figures. Having studied books on how to build social connections in the real world, I decided to turn to Tarot to help guide me in these areas. Any advice you could offer would be fantastic, as I am a complete newbie. Thank you!

Hello there! I'm new to tarot cards, and I've been doing witchcraft for about 1.5 years. I came here because I needed someone to talk to. There aren't a lot of people where I live who're okay with my practice, let alone want to discuss it or do it themselves, so I figured I might learn from some of y'all and (hopefully) expand my practice! I still consider myself a beginner, so if I get anything wrong please correct me. Thank you! :D

Oh uhm, hello everyone! My name is Chastelia, I'm a beginner tarot reader and a beginner practitioner/witch. My pronouns are They/Them, and I'm a black individual! I've been reading tarot and oracle cards/decks inconsistently for about.... 2 years(?). I found this forum while looking for how people who are autistic interact with tarot and oracle reading (As I am Autistic myself) and I'm amazed by this place. I didn't know that people still used forums anymore (I know, I sound SO young and that's because I am. I'm turning twenty-one this year.). But it's good to know that there's still an active community up here that could assist me throughout my tarot reading journey. I'…
