Hello dear Tarot friends, First of all ... definitions. STALKER CARDS are cards that repeat across two or more spreads. I just threw cards tonight and had to laugh. Of 10 cards I drew for the full moon reading ... 5 of the same cards appeared in tonight's spread. 3 of them in the exact same positions. Reading #1 used Triunfi della Luna. Reading #2 used Lightseers. VERY different decks ... yet they served the same cards. Stalker cards definitely strengthen a message for me. A deep theme. If this is a conversation, they're speaking loud and clear. A card appearing across two spreads is noteworthy ... when it appears in the …

It's like an artist who spends time without inspiration and a writer who can't write. Creative block. The cards don't speak, you don't see patterns, it's difficult to make predictions correctly. I can't connect with the cards. Silence. There don't seem to be any answers. Both for my readings and for the readings I do professionally. I make 1, 2, 3 predictions. Wrong - at least I see it that way. I review the meanings, the symbols, the methods, the wording of the question... nothing. This is new to me! Yes, it's the end of the year, the demand for New Year's readings are arriving in full force. Stress increases, the pressure to be productive... I've been tr…

It looks like our kind facilitator for the Circle of Seasons exchange has had to be away for a bit, and I thought for August I could facilitate just a general circle similar to the old Newbies Circle at AT -- i.e. welcoming to any level of experience, no particular theme, a suggested spread with 3 - 5 cards. Would you be interested in that next month? I haven't facilitated a circle, and can't promise I could do it every month, but with the mentor program in place, I thought it would be nice to have a second tarot circle in August to go along with ISG. If it turns out that COS will be running in August, that's great too, and in that case we could probably just …

I was wondering if anyone else here either is on the spectrum or has read for someone on the spectrum... I will admit that my first draw to the Tarot was the -system- of it, and right now I'm definitely in the information hoarding phase of my interest for them (which is a familiar thing to any person with autism). Learning about the cards, their meanings, and meditating on the readings I'm doing for myself has been very calming and enjoyable for me. I love the learning of it, the history of it, all of that. The tactile nature of the cards is also very magnetic to me. When I look at the cards and feel them speaking to me, it's such a compelling feeling. But I worry abou…

recently ive been noticing some youtube videos about readings being made for certain zodiac sign, and it has made me wonder: how do they make the reading? ??? is there a spread they use? im curious ::)

It seems to me there are many ways to choose a significator. I used to choose by identifying with a card, which was the Princess of Cups but these days I feel more like the Princess of Swords. However, I don't really think about it or use it in any readings, and I feel that different cards can draw out different parts of me (or others) in each reading. What do you do? I had a reading the other day and I would love to have your opinion: the reading was regarding a work subject and overall was really good. And interestingly enough, on my last question, the card 6(The Lovers), 7 (the Chariot) and 8 (The Justice) came out, all in a numerical order. The reader was very surprised and he thought it was a great sign. what do you think ? THANK U !

Maybe a weird question, but I was wondering if anyone had ever read for fictional characters as an exercise and what the experience was like? Obviously they can't give you feedback but I thought it might be an interesting way to practise reading for others without the pressure of it being real. I haven't read for another person yet because I'm super nervous (I do plan on joining august's reading circle though! I'm too busy for this month's) and I don't know if it would be a good idea or a terrible idea to try this first haha. I've love to hear your thoughts! (Also this is only tangentially tarot related so if it would be a better fit for the general cartomancy…

Happy New Year everyone! My question is do you believe it's okay to do a reading for someone who is in the public eye like a politician or a celebrity...even though they don't know you? I guess what I am trying to say is that I've always avoided questions that have always invaded other people's privacy...questions like "Does Johnny love me?" I would always reframe those type of questions for the sitter. Would I be out of line to do a YouTube video on a political figure (a three-card spread like Issue/Action/Outcome), even if I don't know the person? The person in question here is Elon Musk. He is the richest guy in the worl…

Hello, Today I was in the middle of doing a reading as I was studying a group of cards in the reading (The Death, Reversed Hierophant and Reversed Devil). When I heard a voice come through "Can you help me *long hiss*" link to the hiss https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L9Y3BiMquyc. After hearing this voice I asked if there was anyone that needed my help. Chris said yes so i need online to find a spread to find out more details about this situation. I couldnt find anything so im seeking help if any can suggest a spread that i could use pls.

Hello As you know different Tarot Schools assign different meanings for their decks. In this sense, do you interprete cards differently -at least, minor arcana- if you use a Tarot de Marseille deck, or a Rider Waite?
-
I originally did quintessence by only adding minor arcana (excluding courts) and now I add all including courts (I don't use reversals but if I did I would subtract their values) and I was just wondering 1: how those of you that use a quint add up the value and 2: do you view it as an overall outcome, theme, hidden factor, etc? Side note: I've heard some people add the bottom card of the deck's value, why?

Hi everyone 👋 I'm still relatively new to Tarot, and I'm finding the court cards really difficult to understand . I cant seem to connect with them, iv tried to make stories up between all the court cards as I read this can help, but I'm still feeling clueless. Any helpful advice or tips would be very much welcomed .

Does anyone else have a card in the deck that always seems to make it's way into your readings? Or does the energy of this card follow you (if that makes sense..)? I find that the Death card and the Fool are always making an appearance for me. I'm quite fond of them. For me it means that I'm getting away from the monotony of my current situation (whether that is a good or bad thing.. depends!) Is there a card you feel a certain love for or comradery with?

Hi so I had an interaction with a friend today and it was a little awkward. Later I asked my deck if my friend was having an off-day and I pulled the hanged man. I think that definitely means they weren’t feeling like their normal selves. Does anyone have any other interpretations?

This hasn't happened to me...yet. But has anyone ever done a reading and the querent got really mad? Like a relationship reading they were in denial about? I have had the same querent ask me, more than once, about the same relationship, but never had anyone go off about how that just can't be true, but know it has happened to others. ANYONE? If so, was it about love, family, career?

I took a tarot hiatus and I just started again because I was struggling with severe depression. The depression cut me off spiritually, I felt soulless person and I couldn't feel anything, not even God. I'm way better know, but not a 100%. I'm having some trouble doing readings for myself, it just looks like gibberish, my mind just goes blink and I can't connect the dots. When, I do it for others everything goes smoothly. Has anyone experience this after taking a long break from tarot or I'm not fully spiritually connected as I once was and it might take a little more time to get there?

Cards move for me most of the time, and sometimes one cards tells a complete story. The fixed card meanings only rarely apply. Who else reads them differently?

I've been experimenting with a "psychometric" approach to card selection for my spreads. I came upon an old AT post that talked about an Enrique Enriquez practice exercise in which you hold your hand over a shuffled deck and concentrate on a particular number position in the stack, trying to "psychically intuit" its nature. I expanded on this approach by meditatively deriving a series of numbers to use in picking cards for a spread. I realize some people already use this method when pulling cards from a fan, but I'm suggesting something a little different. https://parsifalswheeldivination.com/2020/05/23/psychometric-card-selection/

I hope this is the right place to ask this question. This is my first post here as I just joined. I'd love to know how others see the differences and similarities between the 10 of swords and the death card. Thank you In advance

What are people's thoughts on card selection as a skill or talent? Is this something that people get better at over time as readers? Is it something different people are just naturally better at than others? Is it not a consideration to you at all? I don't see it mentioned much on this forum, everything is always about interpretation. The answer is always in front of you in the cards, you just have to understand it, is the message I see again and again. When reading cards: what makes those the right cards to interpret in the first place?
