So ive read a few descriptions saying that HP is like the virgin nun. The female virgin version like the priest. But I also thought back in historic times that the high priestess was a highly regarded prostitute that the higher end of society used to respect and enjoy. So which one is it. Im confused.

Have you performed "forbidden" readings before? For example, very specific questions about death, like if someone is going to die within the coming year or maybe the nature of your own death, and if you're good enough, when it's going to occur. Or maybe you're studying how to summon demons or Enochian angels through cards, or how to make pacts with them. Or you've performed some good bit of necromancy - I've heard that you can communicate with spirits through the cards and from thence divine the future, altho I'm not familiar with the specifics. I'm just curious about anyone's experiences regarding these.

Hello! Relatively new to the forum, but just curious how you guys charge/cleanse your tarot decks! To cleanse, I turn all of the cards upright and meditate with them. If I have time, I'll wave them over some pine or sandalwood incense and store a crystal (clear quartz, smoky quartz or black tourmaline) on them. To charge, I put some moldavite, herkimer diamond, Satyaloka clear azeztulite quartz, or a crystal that correlates with the type of reading I want to do. Sometimes, I'll make a crystal grid with my deck in the center. What do you all do?

If you can travel back in time and give your beginner self only one advice, what would that be? Note that this only has to apply to you - advice that works for one may not do much or may even be counter-productive for another

I asked about the outcome of a potential course of action should I run with it, and got the Wheel of Fortune. I don't use reversals, but the first thing that drew my eye when I turned over the card was the snake on the left-hand side. I did a bit of research, discovered that the snake represents a Greek god Typhon (a sort of monster-deity) and something about salt and destruction and spirit becoming material. Which are your favorite companion books among your decks collection? It might be due to its sheer volume, the depth of its scholarship, its physical beauty, how useful it proved to be or how it made you see its twin deck in a more meaningful and intimate light, its rarity or price, etc.

I was surprised to find this thin tome in a local bookshop, and since Tarot books are very rare here, I swooped on it like a perplexed vulture. In all honesty, I thought that it would feature subtle discourses on the creative male and female energies that suffuse each card, the ways they interact (pro)creatively or destructively, the hidden and conspicuous sexual symbolism and imagery that is reflected in each card, esoteric perorations on the erotic compatibility between the Courts based on their astrological attributions, etc. I expected it to be somewhat like DuQuette's seminal videos on the Sexual Alchemy of the Thoth Tarot which are very frank, yes, but still subtle.…

I did a one card reading on what spiritual path should I be on and got The Star. Can anyone tell me what this means?

Hey, im wondering what would be the best partner for the knight of swords? If you think about the knights, they move a lot, from here there and everywhere. I cant imagine many women being able to have a relationship with him. So im thinking someone free, perhaps the star or 8 of wands? In fact im curious what kind of woman all knights would go for simply because they are never settled. They are always going somewhere serving some kind of battle and may die the very next day.

So I asked how my boyfriend felt about me and I kept getting the Page of Cups reversed. I read somewhere that this might mean that I need to let go of the honeymoon phase and allow the relationship to move to the next level. I LOVED the honeymoon phases, we have been together ten months and although the sizzle is still there it's not as exciting. But the deep love and the security of that lasting love are formidable and present. Hi all! So, I've been reading cards for about 6 months and this one threw me for a loop: I found a "new love" spread and the Queen of Cups reversed was in the placement of "where you will meet him/her" and now I'm stumped! How would you read this card as a location/place/etc? Thanks!

Since I was having trouble shuffling a new deck (the edges couldn't take a faro shuffle or a riffle), I had to come up with something else. Then I remembered a method my Dad had taught me many, many years ago when teaching me to play poker. The thing is, it's excellent for large decks or fragile because it does not require much flexing of the cards and doesn't cause wear on the edges. Do you prefer to buy used or brand new decks? I'm not averse to purchasing used decks, altho they must be clean and they should not look worn out. But I did notice that each and every deck I bought were brand new, like untouched and sealed, brand spanking new. All of my decks are like that, without exception. Maybe I have a subconscious imperative that I should be the first one to touch my any deck I own so that they would be mine and mine alone, and so that I can imprint on them or something.

I am really talking about disagreeing with someone else's interpretation of the cards that they pulled for you. Say you have a different relationship with a card which would lead you to a different outlook, would you accept the other person's view as gospel because that is the situation you put yourself in? Or would you appreciate their perspective but ultimately go with your own reading?

Just wondering if anyone has used this book and how did you find it if so? I saw it come up for sale at a good price and was curious.

It's the penultimate month of the year, and some are already making plans for next year. How about you, what are your goals, objectives, or vows regarding the Tarot for 2018? Have you already drafted a detailed program as to how you wish to conduct your Tarot studies or do you just have a general plan that you wish to implement? Or maybe you just want to wing it? ;) Do you plan to focus on collecting certain decks (like historical, esoteric, etc) or is it grab-what-you-want? Are you going to impose a limit on your purchases? Or are you -gasp!- going to execute a moratorium on deck buying? Please do share your schemes. Who knows, you might just influence someone else…

So, this is a general discussion. The sun, the general interpretation is usually about positivity, success, a "yes" to our life, etc. However, do anyone came across where the sun also indicates short term interest? For example, during a career reading, the sun shows up. I know that it will have good prospective and generally it will bring success to ourselves, but does it also indicate that from the other point of view we will only have passion and goodness for a short period of time? In short, it hints that sustainability is not there?
