I'm finding the advice the cards give sometimes confusing/contradicting and I sometimes feel like they tell me things I'm expecting to hear in the moment that isn't necessarily the right answer. I did a reading on if I should let go of this person I've liked for a while and how to. I thought they were with someone else so I thought it was for the best. I got 7 of cups, 8 of cups, and six of swords. I took that to mean that I need to stop holding onto a fantasy that's not going to come true and move on/ walk away from the situation. A few weeks later I went for drinks with them and found out they are in fact single so I considered telling them I liked them and did ano…

I've never been very happy with the usual methods for determining the timing of events with tarot. The old Wands/Cups/Swords/Pentacles interpretation of days/weeks/months/years frequently won't pass the "giggle test." ("What, I won't hear back about my job interview until five years from now?") Nisaba back on AT had a method that was better but it was still too involved for me, and my own timing spreads aren't any better. I've always envisioned a one-card or three-card pull that can give clear impressions of when something is likely to happen. With that in mind, I set out to create a table of "fast-acting" "slow-acting" and "medium-speed" cards to serve that purpose. It f…

this Lo Scarabeo 2019 deck is based on the Sola Busca of 1491, and the language is Italian I believe. I think the last word is infinity but can anyone translate the ribbon and other words on the disc edge? I'm not having any luck with on-line translators, they seem to think I am ordering a plate of chips.

I wondered something. Let's say I'm in a moment where I'm having a lot of fear about something. I do a reading during that emotional state, and the cards I pull tend to validate my fear, which makes me more afraid. But if I calm down and come back to the question later, I may get a totally different result. Maybe a positive one that puts my fears to rest. Do any of you ever experience anything like that? And if so, what do you make of it?

🙏Namaste My daughter has always been very very interested in all that I do. She has had a deck of her own (Happy Tarot) since she was at preschool. Now at 7 she's asking to learn how to use them! Incidentally I've taught a little girl before (she was 11 at the time) with supervision, but this was over a decade ago. This brings me so much joy but I'm also apprehensive on how to get started! I've started with the Fool's journey and just asking her to describe each card in detail for now, but thought I'd seek advice from the lovely Tarot & Tea hive mind ❤️ If you have taught children before please share your wisdom, insight, and experiences …

Apologies for the rather enigmatic title but that's my question in a nutshell as I'm brand new to tarot reading. In fact, I just got my deck today. I made sure to cleanse my deck first and get acquainted with the cards, making sure to take specific note of how each card makes me feel and what they mean to me beyond the meanings of card names themselves. Then, I decided to take the deck for a test-drive by drawing a three-card spread which felt incredibly accurate. Is there anything that I missed? I'm worried that I'm doing it wrong.

The question makes it seem a little bit different than what it is. I have had readings from others and I have done some on myself about a situation that I am currently in. It is a situation that I feel I desperately need and want answers about. What it boils down to is that I have a stalker. I have a counselor, psychiatrist, lawyer, and the cops all involved. So, I am handling it as thoroughly as possible. But, whenever I have came to tarot to understand anything over the last 3 months, the cards always seem to tell me that I just have to sit back and let the story unfold, I am to do nothing but let the universe do what the universe does, I will have answers when the time…

Would it be a feasible to have a feedback circle for self readings? We read again and again how difficult self reading is, wouldn't it be cool to sharpen that skill? Maybe a 5 card limit and no more than a 5 word question Something not seen elsewhere...

Hi guys :) The last couple of days I have been using the RWS-deck - and I have been getting Nine of Pentacles sooo many times. For me that cards means that I'm moving towards a goal. I'm not there yet - but I'm moving slow. Yesterday I used Tarot of the Cat People - and got Nine of Pentacles again! But in that card it feels like I'm at my goal - I have reached it. (You can see the card on Google here: https://www.google.dk/search?q=tarot+of+the+cat+people+nine+of+pentacles&tbm=isch&imgil=kLIZGn9awOI3EM%253A%253BQourBg-iu0lcZM%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.pinterest.com%25252Fbethbillh%25252Fcats-in-tarot-tarot-of-the-cat-people%25252F&source=iu…

I'm curious if the judgement card represents karma? I was doing a reading for myself about a very painful event that happened to me when I was younger that will be with me for life. I asked 'why did I have to experience this event in my life?' So the first thing I thought about when seeing this card was karma. Do you agree with this? I mean I know the description says rebirth but that doesn't really make sense to me.

I know that we have discussed trimming and edging several times before, and I have shared picks in the past of decks that I have modified in different ways. I usually only modify a deck if I feel that it is way too large for my hands or that the borders are truly bothersome (aesthetically). And the edging takes place as a sort of sacred ritual where I adorn my decks. (A bit off topic but I'm adding a picture of my copy of Tarot of the Crone when I was partially done edging it in black. I did that deck in batches and I took my time with each card, to study it carefully and then letting it try over night in the light of the moon. This did not alter its purpose, but it heigh…

So I know some people use tarot to look into the future, but I was wondering if any of you used it to clarify the past, and clear up the details of things you can't quite remember anymore.

Hello! I hope that this is the right place to post something like this, but does anyone have any advice on pursuing tarot as more than a hobby? This is by no means advertisement for a buisness, but more so for tips and tricks for people who are branching out in their tarot reading adventures! I am no where near this point at all, but I wanted to ask somethings for people who sell tarot services. Specifically ones who sell online! I was curious if people have preferences/experiences using things such as Etsy or Ko-fi. Any tips as well? Finally, I wanted to make sure that if I do pursue something like this, that I know the legal matters involved! I live in New York st…

I had noticed recently when visiting the US Games site that it seems like they've updated their site- thank goodness! They were really due for an update, and with the changes I think the site is now easier to navigate, easier to see the new decks and available pre-orders, etc. But I was pleasantly surprised to also notice that they now seem to have all LWBs available for download right there on the deck pages! That is very nice and convenient. I had just gotten a Ghosts & Spirits without the LWB in a trade, and was planning to email them to see if they could send me a copy. I went to their site just to make sure the deck was still in print (I wasn't sure), and to …

Dear All, I just joined a few minutes ago. I am looking for advice on how to start with Tarot. Just ordered my first deck yesterday. I know almost nothing about Tarot; a few days ago I started thinking about it intensely, and completely out of the blue. I'm wondering why. So basically I am looking for words of friendly and sincere advice on WHAT to do once the deck arrives? Thank you so much in advance!

So, I had my first reading today from my boyfriends mum. He himself had never had a reading either. So after my reading his twin sister had hers then he had his. They both ended up having 9 identical cards!! The only one that wasn’t the same was the final card! They were all in a different order apart from the distant past! I watched her shuffle the cards till my boyfriend told her to stop and then he split them 3 times! Has anyone else ever heard of this happening with twins?? I think this was absolutely amazing!!

Hullo! I am brand new to this space so I hope I am posting in the proper area. If not, my apologies to the mods and I defer to them to move this wherever they see fit. But on to my dilemma: I was able to purchase a used copy of the Truth Seeker's deck - yes, the one with the gold foil - for a super reasonable price, but upon arrival, I discovered that the deck was missing the entire 22 cards of the Major Arcana! Sob! I have since emailed the seller in hopes that she just forgot to put the cards in the box, but in case she hadn't, what do you advise I do? The way I see it, here are my options: a. Use the deck without the Major Arcana (i…

I just recently discovered Theresa Reed aka The Tarot Lady and her site. She’s interesting! I like her style and manner of speaking and interpreting the cards. She’s written several books, too. Anyone really like her? Anyone not too fond of her and her style of reading? For the beginners, she does give free interpretations of every card as well as advice for each card and other info and she offers paid classes, as well.

So, tonight at work, I did my usual 3-card daily reading. I was using the Dame Fortune Wheel's Tarot. I shuffled as normal (till it "felt right" - 4 times this time), did a cut and laid out 3 cards. I didn't really look at the cards as I'm laying them out - just kind of looking straight ahead without focusing. When I looked down, here's what I found; Knave of Swords-rx ...... Knight of Swords-rx ...... King of Swords-rx :o I should have looked to see if the next card was the Queen (but I didn't think of it till just now). I have never had, in that short of a reading, 3 court cards come up, in the correct order as this. I realize that it is within the realm …

Have you ever tried to read the Tarot while you were either drunk or high on drugs? How was it overall? How did it feel like? Were the results accurate? I've never tried doing it drunk and I've never done drugs, so I'm very much curious about the experiences of those who explored the cards while under the influence of either (or even both).

Hey dear community. So I was wondering what are your thoughts about the whole purification process? Do you find it necessary? If so how often? And how do you do it? As for me. I do it mainly because that is how I was taught. I know about the idea of absorbing energy- but honestly- since I read in a cleansed area ( my home) and except for letting the querent pick the cards I handle the deck.. I don't really see a HUGE need to cleanse it often.. When I do.. I have two ways I either use a candle and pass the cards in a circular pattern over the candle- anti clock wise Or- I use Reiki - I put the power symbol into my hands and hold the deck betwe…

Hi Tarot friends... X/ This may have been asked previously. And, this isn't me asking the question, so I don't want to appear rude or narrow minded, it's some of my sceptical friends and family. And although my answer is always "They don't, but I understand my situations better because they ask me to use my instincts to guide me". However.... most are unsatisfied with my response and I wondered, is there a better way to explain that when I (or someone else) needs guidance on what energies surround me/them etc., etc., how is a random card selected. Who decided to select that particular card, me, my unknowing subconscious mind, my spirit guide, the universe or was it…

I'm just learning a bit about the enneagram and not sure how I feel about it. Multiple tests can't seem to determine whether I am a 5 or a 9 or a 4...i get and even number of answers for each LOL. anyhow, found this book (a full chapter is available on her website (http://www.enneagramdimensions.net/tarot.htm) and I found it extremely interesting, notwithstanding my lack of knowledge about the enneagram) and wondered if any of you had read it? When I google enneagram and tarot quite a few interesting links show up. https://www.amazon.com/Fools-Excellent-Adventure-Journey-Enneagram/dp/0982479255
